I really wanted this place to be special. We're new to the area and I've heard good things.Decided to finally try it this past Saturday evening.It was busy and we had to wait 15 minutes. No problem.My wife ordered the Killer Club sandwich and I ordered fish and chips. Both upgraded the fries to a poutine.My tartar sauce was forgotten. When I received it, the taste was horrible. Clearly something squirted out of bottle from Food Basics or something similar.The food wasn't bad... but it wasn't good either. Shoestring fries gives it a McDonald's fast food feel. The gravy wasn't anything special. Tasted like it came from a can that was warmed up.The portions were very disappointing. I'm being honest, we left there and went to McDonald's for a burger. It's not like we eat a lot of food. Most times I can just barely finish my meal in restaurants, but we actually left here still very hungry. As you can see from my photo, the lemon wedge is bigger than the coleslaw. Two tiny pieces of fish and literally a handful of fries each (not in the picture, I had already ate them in my poutine).The price does not reflect the portion size. It was quite expensive for what we received. Yes, I know the price of food has increased, but that's no excuse. We usually go to a place in Wingham, and for the same price, always receive a lot more food that tastes better and doesn't include shoestring fries!Normally, we would give a restaurant a second chance, but really, the portions were so small that I feel ripped off and because of that, we definitely will not be returning.FYI - our 16 year old son cooks at The Boot and what he cooks is much better than what we were served here.

Great food, a lot of variety and fair portions. Staff were attentive, kind, and quick. No issues, was quite a lively atmosphere. Even had an outdoors patio to enjoy. Highly recommended.

Seating are very comfortable with booths, only downside is the bright lamp just eye level.The Panini steak highly recommend very good. The peanut butter Nutella stack for breakfast doesn’t come with a lot of Nutella.Friendly staff only downside long wait for food. but it’s understandable with a lot of people there

The food was overall okay except the greasy burned sweet potato pieces in my dish. Bf liked his Panzercotti though and the service were good. It was worth a try!

What a fantastic spot. I'm not sure what special voodoo paprika ingredient they add to the eggs Benedict but they were absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere and our server Jeff was very friendly and welcoming and provided top level service! We'll be back!! Thanks for the great breaky!

Great eatery! Excellent friendly service, and a large, varied menu. Tried the fish tacos. They were good, although the fish filet was a bit small, and they included grated cheese, which is usually not part of that recipe, but everything was fresh and tasty, so no stars deducted for that detail. The burger was great with perfect fries. Dessert was a turtle cheesecake which was also fresh. Recommended!

**Reviewing a past visit. Visited July 2021**We wanted to dine at this place as it had featured on “You gotta Eat here” . It was worth the hype. Beverage options were limited. Food was good overall. It was crowded owing to its popularity and the beginning of Covid escape.Soup, Pizza & Burger options are limited but good ( menu has been revised since) .Portions were decent and we did pack leftovers. The eatery complements the town’s charm.

Awesome breakfast with a variety of choices! Eaten there twice now, while staying at Point Farms Provincial Park. We camp in big groups on Thanksgiving and May two-four, and both times they took us in and the service was great! They made sure to bring out everything at the same time too! Awesome breakfast spot...will be there for Thanksgiving weekend!

Went in for a breakfast, was visiting the town of Goderich.Ordered:1. Hot chocolate2. Fat stack Cakes3. Chicken waffle Benny4. CoffeeWell, I couldn’t have anything much more better than this! The service was amazing. Both 2&3 were amazing. Coffee was a little watery and so was the hot chocolate. Can’t say that it was bad but could have done better! The food quality and quantity both were just amazing and the fresh produce on the plates were actually fresh and a generous amount of it was served!Would love to visit this place again if time permits! Would recommend it to anyone who is visiting this lively cute little town!
