Great organization. We often drop off carpet samples, collars and our doggos costumes. We adopted Spanky from here 14 years ago. Still a puppy at heart!

Our big goofy orange kitty came from this facility. The organization has had its ups and downs but they truly do try to make a positive difference. My neighbour took in a beautiful dog from the humane society but was initially feeling overwhelmed with the dog’s energy level. I was very impressed with the TLC and effective help she received. Dog and neighbour are a happy family now and inseparable.

I was happy to bring my family to see the animals today. We found a dog we wanted to visit with, when I asked if we could go in and see the dog I was told we needed to fill out an application first. Why would a person need to fill out an application just to see a dog. You are more then welcome to pet all the cats you want but, when it comes to a dog you have to fill in an application. This is very disappointing. My family and I will adopt from. A shelter that will allow us to visit with the animals first. If there are issues with possible aggressive behavior then say so but to just not allow people to interact with the dogs just isn't fair.

Try not to take too much time in making an important decision of adopting a pet. They only give you a time limit to visit and fill out forms. Some staff are helpful and understanding, some staff are ... not. And they wonder why they are overwhelmed with animals. The process can be better!

Wow! What an amazing facility! Super clean and modern. They have so many cute and amazing cats, dogs, bunnies and cats for adoption! You can come any time and view the cats, I believe it’s appointment only for the dogs and other animals. Extremely friendly and helpful staff! They are doing an amazing job giving animals a new home, they also are always updating their site with new animals up for adoption.

If you adopt a cat from here be prepared for misleading medical information and poor management. We adopted two lovely cats on Monday from this shelter. Overall, I love the cats we got, but I am extremely disappointed with the way the shelter is managed. When we visited on Saturday we inquired at the counter about them. They gave us their medical information including letting us know that one of the cats, #1, had ear mites, but they said this had been treated by the shelter and he was clear for adoption. We took the day to think about it and decided we wanted to adopt both. We asked if this was possible and they said that cat #2 had not been neutered so he would need to be neutered before we could adopt him, but they could place us on the special consideration list. The next day I was informed that cat #2 had actually been neutered and I was given the ultimatum of adopting him immediately or he’d be placed back on the website. There was no time given for us to decide and it felt that their intention is to push animals out the door as quickly as possible. Not being able to leave one of them behind we decided to take the risk of adopting both at the same time. We took cat #1 to our vet on Wednesday as we noticed he was shaking his head and scratching his ears, and we were scared all of Tuesday this might be ear mites again and it could infect cat #2. At the vets, they did an ear cleaning and a microscopic exam to check for ear mites. While there were no ear mites there was so much debris in his ear the vet couldn’t even get the scope down the canal. On top of that there was infection and yeast present. The shelter said they performed an exit exam on him before we took him home, but I guess the exit exam does not check for medical issues such as this. So be prepared for an expensive vet bill if you adopt from here.On to cat #2. We noticed he was also shaking his head and scratching at his ears this first day we brought him home. Both cats were isolated in separate carriers and rooms with zero contact between them so this was not transferred from cat #1 to #2. Without surprise our vet found similar issues with this guy as cat #1 and he needed to get his ear cleaned and checked for debris. The medical record showed his ears were NAF which means no abnormalities found. I was told by my vet staff that this is wrong and there should have been a note on his file about the debris in his ears. The worst part is this is not an issue with just us. My vet said this is the third cat they've seen in just this week alone that has come from this shelter with similar issues. I was hesitant to post this review because the staff were friendly and are probably trying their best, but this is unacceptable for the health of the animals and we are very disappointed. We will not be returning to the humane society in the future.

I'm pretty heartbroken after leaving here. Most of the cats in there aren't available for adoption because they are already being adopted. They used to put adoption in progress signs up so you knew if one was being adopted. That's not the case anymore apparently.. So after forming a bond with a certain cat there we were set to take him home and after we went to go put in an application we were told he's already being adopted. My heart literally sunk in my chest. DO NOT GET ATTACHED TO A CAT OR ANY ANIMAL THERE UNLESS YOU ACTUALLY CHECK THEIR WEBSITE. And according to staff you have to be checking ALL the time. So basically you have to put in an application before ever meeting the animal. Very disappointed and very heartbroken.

Used the Muddy Paws dog wash today for our anti-dog bath Lakeland Terrier. AMAZING experience...especially for 2 seniors with bad backs/knees! Dog is confined to a gated 'bathtub'; you're essentially washing your dog with a (moderately - not overwhelming) high powered water & shampoo nozzle/ hose...you can add things like flea soap, conditioner, but once you move to pressing the Rinse button, you just get lots of high pressure warm water to thoroughly rinse your pooch. That's followed by a warm air hair dryer hose...if that doesn't completely dry your fur person, you have stacks of free folded dog towels, and, a bonus for us, a professional- style grooming table with a leash to control your guy/girl while you comb out tangles with your brushes/combs. Faaanntastic. Loved it! ❤️

I know my wife made a review and I don’t see it but very disappointing I am with this Place. My wife has been alone for 7 years dealing with mental health issues just me and her therapist. Her dream to have a best friend (dog) was crushed by this place. She did volunteer but going into kennels gave her anxiety. So we moved so she could get a dog. She fell in love with pit bulls watching all the pit bull and perolees and saw one and fell in love. She has no experience with dogs and they gave her a pit bull with allergies and behaviour problems telling her she needs training. Ok we can do that ! But the dog needed someone with dog experience and for the first two weeks she was constantly bitten both her arms were bruised all the up. The first day after training she got bitten real good and did not want to do it anymore. In three weeks time I have seen her the happiest I have ever seen her to being the saddest I have ever seen her. So we have no dog we are out over $2000 and my wife is alone and sad again and does not want a dog now!!! Hands down one of the worst experiences ever!!!!
