Tiarific Canine

Amanda is educated, kind and very knowledgeable. She provided us, as a family, with many skills to help our puppy (who happens to be bigger than most full grown dogs) respond to our commands. We've been working on the skills that we were given and I can say that Zeus has made some great improvements in his recall and leash training. We have made good progress on his anxiety because of the tips provided to us.

I can't recommend Amanda and her team enough! I've been a client since June 2022, and my little rescue, Penny, has come such a long way thanks to Amanda's incredible care, knowledge, and expertise. I feel at ease knowing that my dog is in such good hands when Amanda works with Penny. In terms of running the business, Amanda is excellent at communicating the company's policies and procedures, which makes it easy to know how and when to contact her, schedule sessions, pay for sessions, and make changes to scheduled plans if needed. I admire Amanda's dedication to force-free training methods, and the love she has for her work is evident in all her actions. I would recommend Amanda and her team to anyone looking to build confidence in their dog and in themselves as pet owners.

I booked both a 1 hour Private lesson and a 3 hour day school with Amanda, with a focus working on loose leash walking and learning proper greetings/manners. My pup is shy with strangers, but she quickly took to Amanda and was happy to do an adventure day school, going with Amanda to several stores to practice in public spaces. I really liked that Amanda provided written details with what they worked on, and homework" so that we could continue to practice the skills. I am looking forward to booking another lesson in the New Year.UPDATE: we also book daily walks/pee times with Melanie. She's so calm and gentle with my dog

Amanda is very knowledgeable when coming to training me to train my pups. Tiarificcannine also does house and dog sitting for me and my dog loves everyone that has been to the house. I can highly recommend Amanda and her crew for any of your pet needs.

Tiarific Canine provides basically every service you need as a dog owner. We had Amanda as a pet attendant for our wedding (literally cannot recommended this service enough if you want your dogs involved in your day, the peace of mind was the best investment we made). Amanda has also done a training walk with one of our dogs, and the knowledge she provided has helped us immensely during walks. Melanie has also dog sat for us for a day, and she was lovely with them. We have also bought interactive toys from them at one of their markets, and our dogs love them. They entertain our puppy for almost an hour at a time. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. Oh also, sometimes they send you pictures and videos of your dogs (like the few below)!

I've been lucky to work with trainers Amanda and Jolly. They have been both so helpful and encouraging during our training sessions.In the few sessions we've had I have seen such an improvement in my dogs behavior. We have mostly been working on walking manners and how to work on aggressiveness towards other dogs while on walks. It's a lot of work and consistency but they have helped giving us the right tools to get us on the right track for a more positive experience on our walks and encounters with other dogs. Highly recommended.

My partner and I planned for our dog to be immersed in the world of therapy, so that she could go to work with Daddy. I knew Amanda from my time in the pet care industry- knowing her personality and attitude towards animals, as well as her previous experience with reactive dogs and education, made her my obvious choice. I will never look elsewhere!She is certified out the ying-yang, and is passionate about what she does! She has an amazing knack at connecting with you, as well as your dog. Her force-free approach is not only easy for the dogs to catch onto, it’s especially easy for us humans to follow. Amanda was even available to us even when we weren’t in class, as her only goal is for the best outcome for you and your four-legged companion!We’ve had nothing but a positive experience, all around! Our dogs love her. We love her. We tell EVERYONE about her, which sometimes makes things awkward with strangers…I will recommend Amanda and Tiarrific Canine 24/7/365!

Amanda and the Tiarific Canine team are amazing! Amanda has been taking care of our puppy 3 times a week and we could not be happier with the care she is providing him. She provides our puppy with enrichment and works proactively on training and positive reinforcement with him during each visit - his behaviour and abilities have definitely improved since working with Amanda. Amanda provides us with updates after each visit and with tips and tricks regarding our puppy's training and care, which have been invaluable as first time dog owners. I have recommended Tiarific Canine to friends and they have all been thrilled with the services they received. I trust Amanda with the care and training of our puppy and cannot say enough good things about the Tiarific Canine team!

PLEASE READ : Zero stars deserved. I went to the owner Amanda with concerning videos, from our house cam, of interactions between our dog walker Amy and our dog. We couldn’t believe the neglect, lack of compassion and complete disregard for our dog as well as Amanda in her responses to me via email when I brought up our concerns. They pride themselves on force free and fear free training and claim to know dog behaviour, but this couldn’t be further from what I witnessed and have recorded.Our dog is nervous of *strangers*, Amy couldn’t be further from a stranger. Amanda, the owner, said the videos look like normal nervous dog behaviour to her?! Who is she to judge this if me, her own mama, thinks this is highly unusual and awful to watch on a daily. After nearly one year of having the same walker our dog should be excited (if the walker was working with her and not against her), NOT afraid, shaking, and pulling away. Amanda’s resolution to this was to ‘eventually’ take over Lola’s walks, which after her lack of compassion for the situation, how could I ever trust her alone with my dog? But also, she was going to up the fee to $40 for a one hour walk each day (that is for a basic walk, not a training walk). For this quality of service, absolutely not!FYI - Amanda likes excuses, she will most likely respond to my reviews with ridiculous excuses as she did in our email thread. Such as, Amy’s frustration towards our dogs nervousness and throwing a leash against our wall was probably because it was a Monday, and snowing, and they just can’t wait for spring... Also it’s a stressful job, so they can’t always be positive… Unacceptable and I would never recommend them to care for your animals. Also no refunds, she charged us the cost of a walk just to drop off our keys. You are a fraud Amanda and so is your company, it’s not about the quality of care, it’s just a money grab.Good riddance.

I just had the best walk ever with my pup thanks to Amanda! He started out so excited I almost took him home but we settled down and kept walking. He was charged and barked at by a dog through the fence. He reacted but I had the practice and knowledge to get him settled again very quickly. After that he ignored multiple sounds of barking from homes we walked by, and kept focused and confident even through construction noise and the recycling truck. This all would have been a disaster months ago. If you are not enjoying walking your pup I highly recommend reaching out to Tiariffic Canine for help, because change is possible!
