I need an oil change for my chevrolet Malibu and I called the minit-tune north road location. I talked to the manager and ask for pricing. He said the oil change and 180 inspection will cost roughly $500. I asked him to why its expensive and he said nowadays if i go to any car delearship oil change will cost me around $600 for basic oil change only and no inspection. They were charging me way over price. #overprice

I have been a customer of Minute Tune on North Road in Coquitlam for over 5 years. Dave, the owner of the franchise, had always done decent work in the past, so I had stuck with him, even bringing other customers to him. He recently repaid my loyalty this last year by replacing parts in my vehicle for which he had not sought permission. My Versa had a clutch issue. Dave had fixed it by replacing the part ($300). 2 months later, the same problem resurfaced. I took it back to Dave and left it with him. He later called and said the car was ready. He had to replace the same part, and also charged another $1700 for additional work he said was necessary. He never contacted me to get permission for this work. He had to take the front end apart in order to fix a flywheel and transmission problem. When the car was returned, the front end groaned and complained at every stop and start. He said it just needed to settle and would be fine after a few weeks of driving. That was 3 months ago, and today the car sounds like it is about to break apart while driving. I went to see him about it. He said the suspension was upset when he had to disassemble the front end. Nothing he could do about it - not his fault. Oh yeah, when it was returned, it also had a fuel injection issue as the car now revs very high in between gear shifts. Dave also claims there is nothing he can do about it even though he admits he adjusted it in order to deal with an engine light that was on. Dave, in my opinion, you are a poor mechanic, and I also question your intelligence in that you seem unable to gasp that your work has caused me further expenses above and beyond the initial cost of repair. Be very aware of Minute Tune on North Road, folks!

Don't go to Dave this guy is an amature mechanic who will ruin your carI took my vehicle into this shop on April 22 to swap out my winter tires with my all season which were on a different set of wheels. Also I wanted 2 of the all season tires replaced and re-balanced with 2 tires I supplied.When I was waiting in the shop for my car, I noticed Dave having problems mounting and re balancing one of the tires on the wheels. Then after many tries, he told me he couldn't mount and re balance the 2 replacement tires. He then advised me to go to OK Tire as he told me that they have better tire mounting equipment.I proceeded to OK tire in Coquitlam and asked the tire technician to remount the 2 tires. To my surprise the technician told me that the tire's side walls were stripped and was completely damaged. He told me that the tires sidewall was stripped due to the mounting equipment that the other mechanic was using. He also noticed there was a long nail in the tire that was probably causing the other mechanic to have problems mounting the tire on the wheel. Also the OK tire technician said the nail should have been removed and the tire could have been repaired easily .I went back to Dave and explained this to him. He said he will get me a replacement tire. I called him every other day until after 2 weeks he still did not have the tire in. Obviously this guy was never going to get a replacement tire. I went to his shop to confront the guy and he said he cancelled ordering the tire. This guy is a totally scammer. Do not trust this guy's word.

Dave was incredible to deal with and very helpful. He was quick to respond, and book me in to get my brakes repaired.He went out of his way to make sure I knew exactly what was happening at all times and explained what needed to be done and why.I will be back for future repairs and I recommend you all ask for Dave!Thanks Dave!

I had my brakes worked on at a different shop about 18 months ago, but that place has now gone out of business, so I was looking around for a new shop. Tried Minit-Tune on North Road as it is in my neighbourhood, and I couldn't be happier with the service. I will be towing a trailer across the mountains next month, so simply wanted my brakes checked before I go. Minit-Tune took my truck in this morning and got back to me within an hour to tell me they are all good. Sounds like the front pads will need some work perhaps in the fall, and when they do, I will return to Minit-Tune. They were prepared to take my truck at the time I had booked, they were fast, and they didn't even charge me for the inspection. I couldn't ask for more, and they have earned my repeat business. The only issue I had was that I had originally tried to book through the Minite-Tune online booking service, which unfortunately sent my email into this location's junkmail folder. After I didn't get a response, I called and made an appointment over the phone. No big deal, but if you are looking to book, consider reaching out to the location directly.

I had an appointment in the morning for a simple oil change and tire rotation. When I got there I was told my car won't be ready until the end of the day because they're so busy. I got back at closing time and they didn't even touch my car yet. Dave changed my oil an hour after their closing time on a Saturday. However, he was apologetic and gave me a nice discount. They really need to work on their customer service.

I had a very poor experience with these guys. After waiting for parts to be delivered, they were the wrong parts. I understand that this is not their fault. However, he didn't know when the correct parts would be delivered so I said I would have to reschedule. He insisted that I wait because he already had my wheels and brakes off. I'm sorry but I am not going to wait around for 5 hours to simply get my brakes replaced. I asked him to please put my car back together and he said sure and slammed the door behind him. Upon giving me my keys he scoffed and thanked me for wasting his time. I couldn't believe it!! You get upset with your supplier and NOT the customer! They weren't even busy so I don't know how his time was wasted and now I can see why they weren't busy. This place has brutal customer service!! Especially for a business in the service industry! I am glad in the end that I did not give them my business and they will never get it in the future.

I paid almost$1350 for new brakes all around. The high frequency squeal was a free add-on. When I called Dave to set up an appointment to have them re-adjusted as you are supposed to do with new brakes ( and which he had told me to do) he said that wouldn't be necessary; brakes would be fine. I mentioned the constant squealing and Dave said I needed to drive it more. So I did and after over 6000 km they were still squealing. Took it back to Dave this week. He said he put something on them to stop the squealing but it is the same as it always has been.He also changed the oil in another of my vehicles and I told him it is leaking in my drive way. Dave said that was just residual from the oil change and it would stop. Yeah, it stopped some months later when I took it to another garage for another oil change.I have other horror stories but I see his business is closing soon so why bother.And how does he get those Voted Consumers Best" stickers EVERY year?"

Worst service I have ever had.For a simple problem, the mechanic (Mr. David Bryer) asked me to make multiple appointments without actually fixing the problem. Yet, he charged me every time. During the first visit, I told him there was a strange noise when I started my car, he did not bother checking that noise, even though the car is just a few meters away.I had to go to other place, where the mechanic went to check the noise with me, and fixed the problem in the first visit.I thought he is just incompetent, so I complaint. Surprise! It turned out that he is actually dishonest. I re-checked all invoices, and found he only listed all the services he did without even mentioning the initial problem he was asked to fix.I will never let a dishonest mechanic to touch my car.

Just had my snow tires put on this time, but have dealt with Dave for years. He's looked after 2 of my cars in succession over the years now and has always done a good job, told me what I need currently and what I might need in the future and his charges are reasonable.
