Black's Distillery

Saw this place while in town and swung by to check out it. Small batch distilleries are few and far between and it was worth the visit.The gentleman on staff offered me a sampling of rye, whiskey and vodka, all of which were excellent. He was very knowledgeable and assured me that all the ingredients, including the glass bottles are locally sourced. Unfortunately, this means the product is expensive. I'm willing to pay more for high quality products which support the local economy so I purchased a 750ml bottle of 6-month aged white barley whiskey for about 50 dollars.I really appreciated that the gentleman was able to tell me where I can find this product in Ottawa, so I can buy it again without making a trip to Peterborough. I recommend checking this place out if you're interested in tasting locally brewed spirits.

My boyfriend and I went to this distillery a couple of days ago to do the tour and it was such a fantastic experience! Kris was super knowledgeable and answered all our questions with such enthusiasm. The tasting was fantastic and we definitely are going to buy what they make from the local LCBO. I highly recommend going if you're in the area and stopping in to get a tour.

Saw this place while looking for a place to have lunch and decided to swing by. Best decision! The gin is something special. Very much can be sipped on it's own or works well in a cocktail. The Rye whiskey and the Cherry whiskey were both excellent too! The owner is very friendly and fun to chat with. Great place to visit spirit fans.

Website and Google said they’re open until 6pm. Showed up and they were closed. If you’re going to own a business, at least be consistent with your hours.

Decided to visit, owner very knowledgeable and shared about distilling process, has award winning spirits, stayed for a couple of cocktails, hand crafted, all natural, very tasty. Had a great time.

If recommend anyone that appreciates an authentic and delicious cocktail check this place out! Such an awesome spot for a truly unique beverage. It's not a typical place for a drink. This is where the liquor is made, and it's apparent that the owner takes serious pride in making great liquor and amazing drinks! The drinks were delicious, unique and we'll crafted. Cost per cocktail was about $10 all in and we'll worth it. This quality of drink could easily cost $16 or $18 in downtown Toronto, and probably wouldn't be as good!

enjoyed this place. NIce small town feel. We supported local while in town. Worth a visit
