This is one of my favourite shops to go in Ottawa. The owner is very friendly and helpful, the store is always very tidy and has a wonderful selection of hand made clothing and incense, and the environment in general is very peaceful. Not to mention everything is very reasonably priced considering it is local, sustainable, and very unique! I love it here :)

This place sells some of the rarest incense we could not find anywhere else. If you want to collect as many random incense so you have something new to try when you are bored in this chaotic holiday at home. Reasonable price. The incenses are in the baskets on the floor at the right side. He also sells the very common blue box Nag incense but $1 cheaper than the indian mkt near it

I love this place! The clothes are wonderful, great natural fabrics, VERY well made with many unique designs to fit different body types. I keep going back to buy clothing for all my friends as gifts (as well as myself). Everyone is delighted with Karuna-wear. In fact, after not being to the store during COVID, I returned to buy a whole line of the tie-died dresses, t-shirts, and skirts because I kept thinking about the patterns during shut-down. They also have marvelous jewelry line AND beautiful hand-made singing bowls. The staff are VERY kind, helpful and patient with those of us who have trouble making up our minds with what we like best. The place feels, sounds and smells great too, so it's a joy to spend extra time going through all the marvelous stock with the congenial staff.

Karuna is truly a hidden gem in Ottawa. Tucked away in an unassuming part of Bank St., this store is an amazing find if you're interested in natural fabric clothing (cotton, hemp. linen, wool, you name it), including scarves, shawls, bags, house decor, bedding and cushion covers, semi-precious jewellery, and so much more. The quality is also superb despite the humble and modest look of the place, with items directly from Nepal. I've been to the original areas these items come from in Nepal myself and can vouch that these are the real deal. There are also so many unique pieces if you're looking for creative, fashionable clothing styles you may not come across elsewhere. The prices are the best you'll find of anywhere in Ottawa. The store-owner is extremely personable, friendly, helpful and very honest, going out of his way to explain the different price points and how they actually relate to differences in quality. He's also been known to throw in discounts here and there which just adds to the fun of shopping at a local business and getting to know our local entrepreneurs. Makes the whole trip a very fun experience.

We bought some jewelleries and handicrafts last year. They were genuinely of very high quality and we really still love them. We also ordered some more products online during the pandemic. They arrived at our house on time and in good shape. The owner was very courteous and helped us find the right material. I recommend the shop whole heartedly.

A wonderful gem of a store. They carry clothing in all shapes and sizes, in every colour of the rainbow. Half of my summer wardrobe comes from here. Super friendly and helpful staff. An amazing choice of jewelry and one of a kind treasures, with some rather unique pieces made with both heart and soul. Honestly one of my favourite local stores.
