Naoko’s work is so beautifully done, that it makes you want to break things!I did not have anything to restore, but after seeing an exhibition of her work, I was compelled to ask about purchasing something she had restored. I was lucky enough to acquire this tea cup.I would not hesitate to have Naoko restore my treasures.

Naoko's expertise is unrivalled in Vancouver (if not Canada) and her work speaks to that skill.I've had Naoko restore and repair a few ceramics with Kintsugi lacquer and gold. And instead of trying to hide the damage, the Naoko's beautiful job has made the pieces even better than before they were damaged. This kind of work is really a collaboration between the ceramic and Naoko's artistry. That said, if you were to choose a blind restoration, I'm sure Naoko would also do that to perfection. Moreover, Naoko is extremely professional and responsive. Her proposal and quoting process explained each step clearly, answering all of my questions and giving me various options.Below are before and after photos of a recent Kintsugi repair she completed for me.

It was a wonderful adventure in art having my beloved fish plate restored by Naoko Fukumaru. She was responsive and professional in the business arrangements and also outlined the kintsugi process clearly which helped me understand the value of her services. Above and beyond that, her work is precise, elegant, and beautiful. I love my fish plate more than ever thanks to her contribution. Cathryn Gregor, April 2021

Naoko Fukumaru's work is exemplary. The restoration is so fine that only an expert would know that both legs were broken. I truly had no idea that I would be so extraordinarily happy with the final result. My beautiful little figurine has been in my family for over 75 years and is a precious family treasure. Thank you again, Naoko.

I had two temmoku-style plates made by Charmian Johnson in the 1980s, long ago mended and taken out of service. Naoko brought them back to life. Her immaculate kintsugi restoration has made them even more beautiful than they were before. They are now feature treasures to be proudly displayed. Thank you Naoko. Your international reputation is well deserved. Call Naoko. She makes new pots from old.

I found Fukumaru Ceramic and Glass Art Restoration using Google after a glass angel ornament took a tumble off my dresser and the wings broke off.Not only did she fix my botched gluing job, but she used an adhesive that made it stronger than ever, when I showed the work to a friend she couldn't even tell that it was broken! Well done!

I learned of Naoko's kintsugi practice at an exhibit titled Imperfect Offerings" at the Richmond Art Gallery in July 2021. I had seen kintsugi before

Naoko expertly repaired 5 big painted plates. She was able to do it in an invisible way. I highly recommend her work. She can transform your broken object into a thing of beauty.

People break things accidentally from time to time. Unfortunately, not every pottery item can be easily repaired.I broke my wife's favourite mug and couldn't fix it by myself, so I decided to find a professional whom I could trust such an important task. As it turned out, there are not so many places in Vancouver area where you can get your pottery repaired. One of pottery stores that I contacted recommended to reach out to Naoko Fukumaru due to the complexity of work. That's how I discovered Kintsugi technique and a professional kintsugi artist Naoko. We agreed on terms and conditions, and due to the complexity of fixing this particular item, I received a reincarnated mug after six weeks, just as it had been discussed at the beginning. The end result has exceeded expectations and my wife is more than happy with the second life of her favourite mug.I highly recommend Fukumaru Ceramic & Glass Art Restoration and Naoko Fukumaru in particular if you want to bring a piece of art back to life or fix your favourite mug in a very aesthetic way.
