I've spent a lot of time scouring Kijiji and Facebook marketplace and varage sale to find good deals on this stuff, and the prices at Life Outside Gear Exchange are right on pace and sometimes even better than local private sales. But what makes them really stand out is the aggregation service they provide—instead of having to peruse various different private sale services to find the one thing you want, Life Outside eliminates that process by gathering all these things in one place with the added benefit of making sure the product works as intended.Great missionI love supporting local businesses and I've always found the cost of outdoor lifestyle equipment to be prohibitive, so for a local company to come out and try to reduce that barrier to entry for these activities is simply awesome. I really like this new business! It's a great idea that was waiting for someone to make it happen. Matt and Nancy make it happen! I have both purchased and consigned items now and love to keep an eye on their online store for new items. I highly recommend checking out Life Outside Gear Exchange.

Picked up this pre loved Thule rack for our bikes . Staff was very helpful and awesome selection. Will be back!

I consigned a pair of downhill skis and boots to their ski swap and let them do the pricing. They didn't sell so I went down to the store Tuesday to pick them up. (Their website said they were closed Monday). But the store was still closed Tuesday. I stopped back again Wednesday and asked to pick up my stuff. I was able to take the boots home but the skis were locked away in storage. I would have to come back for them. Later in the day, I found the skis delivered to the back door. That was nice of them"

They sell such great quality used outdoor gear. I also love how I have been able to make money off of old gear we don't need anymore!

I was visiting the city and was interested in a small bike ride along the Meewasin trail. Located at a 10 min walk, Life outside gear exchange was the perfect spot for a bike rental.Nancy and Joe were extremely helpful at finding me the right bike and also helped me find a good trail along the river ! I'm not typically a reviewer gal..but after meeting Matt and Nancy and their incredible crew I couldn’t help myself. AMAZING PEOPLE, AMAZING PRICES, AMAZING IDEAs behind all of this. As someone who wants to invest in products and goods that are sustainable, I often find that it comes with a hefty price tag. I’m a student who is trying to find a more sustainable way to live…sourcing and consigning items at Life Outside is where it’s at!

This store is a super stellar addition to Saskatoon. Their online consignor access is brilliant - it lets you see your stuff, how it sells, and easily request your payout. Amazing outerwear and gear come in regularly. Love how it reuses what is already out there before used gear becomes obsolete.
