French Creek Social Hall
Had a lovely dinner to my self at French creek sat at the bar with some regulars who have great banter when the hockey game is on. The wait staff is amazing the man behind the bar is very tentative and easy to talk with. I ordered the Kung pao shrimp definitely recommend it had heat to it but you could still taste sesame and sweetness in the sauce. For my main I got the asiago chicken burger the chicken is very juicy and well breaded and I believe the sauce is house made and is delicious. Tater tots where crispy and all the food was fast and supper hot coming out. I got a Long Island layered because that’s how the bar tender prefers them made it was delightful and I would recommend.

Very disappointed overall I had fish and chips 20 dollars was very good my husband however had hot beef sandwich 18 dollars one slice untoasted white bread with some meat and gravy on top it was cold and side was very small bowl chicken soup would love to add the photo I took Owner apologized thanked me for my feedback when I complained then brought me a dessert as it was my birthday so effort was made . But was shocked that a tip was added to the bill in the amount of 14.86 . We will never go back

I gave this place a negative review not too long ago, but continued to go back to see if things would turn around. It seems to me that the new management is listening. The group of friends I go with, and myself were all satisfied with our meals now and will definitely be going back. They are trying, obviously, so they deserve a second chance. Good on you!

Have gone twice now since the new owners. Service both times was terrible with the second time being the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. Waitress split a full glass of water in my lap and when I thought she was going to go get more napkins or a towel, I noticed her delivering drinks to a table instead. When I then got up to get my own napkins or towel she got sassy and said she was coming back and I needed to be patient. She continued with her sass and asked us what more I wanted her to do as she was doing everything she could and we were being unreasonable. At this point all we had asked for was a towel and a refill of the water she had spilt. The spill happened while she was delivering our food which we waited 45 min for and when the mess was clean and we finally started to enjoy our food, it was cold. Cold tater tots, cold rice, cold everything. Food had good flavour other than being cold. Bar manager did attempt to salvage our dinner. I don’t think I’ll go back for a third try which is too bad, used to be a favourite spot!

Ignor the bad reviews!!! We went there for lunch today and were hesitant due to the reviews boy were we wrong. The service was amazing. We had the fish and chips (one large piece cod fries and slaw $20.00) it was the best we've had in oceanside. It even comes with house made tarter and a char /grilled lemon. The music was at a tolerable background volume that made it easy to chat. Our server was really nice too. A great local pub feel.

French Creek Social Hall formerly French Creek Pub has had a remodel and the place is looking brighter. Too bad they didn't do the floor.The new menu is is great! The smoked miso clam chowder is fantastic. Lots of clams in a flavorful creamy broth. The beef dip was one of the best I've ever had! A decent amount of beef on a toasted bun. The lobster roll was okay but lacking something (lemon?).The service could have been better but it wasn't the waitress's fault as she was the only one on.The prices aren't any higher than most places and the portions are generous.We'll be back!

Far less than the old French Creek Pub. 11 other people here at 5:45 on a sunny Saturday. Says alot, doesn't it? Food was barely OK but expensive. Greek ribs deep fried when they should have been roasted. Asiago dip far too salty. Ordered a pint but served 20 oz. Fish and chips below average for a place that used to serve the best in the area.

My husband and I had wonderful meals last night. 5:00 pm and comfortable amount of guests to feel festive. I had the lobster roll with a side salad and it was fantastic. Small sweet bun with very generous pile of lobster. Salad was just their regular side salad but it was the best salad I have had for quite a while. Mixed greens with pea shoots, snap dragons, candied pecans, a touch of creamy feta and a light dressing. Hubby and I shared the salad. He had the lobster spaghetti and it was so rich and creamy he had to fight me off!! The prices were not cheap eats" but did reflect the high quality of the food. Can't wait to go back!"
