Great hair salon all round! My son has the best hair person ever and I found an awesome stylist for my long hair too. Thank you for being a relaxed welcoming place.

Went in at 1245 for my appointment at 1. Was told my appointment was at 1 15. I let it go as i thought not a big deal. At 1 25 when my husband drove up i was still waiting. the lady ahead over me was going to be longer as the stylist was just starting to curl her hair. Told to sit offered a water and left. No, we are running late sorry, no other contact at all. got up and left . Second time i have been there and not happy with service. Will not go again.

Samantha Peter's while I was visiting she streaked my hair and did an amazing job. I am so impressed and will be back 100% she even had to go over our time as I have so much hair. She actually did the best job I have ever had , plus the staff were very friendly and I enjoyed my chats with Samantha I highly recommend this place 100% keep up the good work ladies! Thank you Samantha you're amazing!

Booked a haircut for my mom on a Sunday at 1:45pm. Called to let them know we’d be late and no one picked up. Arrived at 2:00pm and was told hairstylist is running late. At around 2:30pm, she started on my mom’s cut (dry cut on curly hair with product in it, no shampoo/wash). Mom requested long layers. Stylist brushed her hair, trimmed her ends, and 10 minutes later (I kid you not), the cut was over. The stylist offered to straighten her hair but at that point we were over the whole thing. We could have probably done the same thing at home and saved ourselves the trip… Strange experience altogether.Stylists and staff should start by showing respect for clients’ time, and ensuring they understand the clients’ hair goals. A hair appointment, for many people, is an opportunity to feel pampered - this felt about as special as an oil change.

I've gone here multiple times over the years and have always been happy with the service except the last time. I went in to get my hair coloured and that was all I wanted done. The hairdresser did an okay job with the coloring ( not what I originally wanted, but the coloring is still fine), but decided to cut my hair without me even mentioning it to her. The hairdresser also seemed quite frustrated that she had to work on my hair. Now I'm having a really hard time trying to grow my hair out. Needless to say, I will not be returning.

Got the haircut I wanted, more or less. But, the whole experience was quite impersonal... So much so, I felt like the stylist was trimming a hedge rather than my hair. The cut was done quite quickly, I would have preferred a little more care had been taken. The haircut was acceptable, but could have been much better. I will not be back.

I was visiting from out of province and needed a hair cut (men's haircut). This place was able to accommodate my walk-in visit and gave me a great hair cut, wash, and condition for a fraction of the price I pay back in Toronto ($15 instead of $45). My stylist had great attention to detail, and wasn't afraid to ask if she wasn't sure how I wanted something. The venue is great and the employees are really nice and down to earth. I will definitely go back if I'm in town and need a stylish cut.

My favourite salon in town! Holly is the best hairstylist around. They also do piercings which I have done and it went well and they healed smoothly. I'll be back to try their waxing and nails, and eventually a colour appointment. If you're new in town and wondering where to go for salon services - it's here.

I had my first appointment with Annette. My second hair cut this year so a lot of hair had to come off. She listened to what I had in mind and asked for pictures. Annette did a wonderful cut and style for me. She was easy to talk to. Also I felt very comfortable with the covid enhancements that Afterglow has put in place.

I am writing this to warn others: ask if your stylist has colouring certifications prior to going ahead with treatment.The story: A few weeks back, I was promised colouring to continue my 'greying' process- a process I've spent more than $1000 and over 1 year doing. The stylist didn't know what she was doing, evading my question about her training, and in the end a colleague helped her- I should have stopped things then but felt bad. In the end, she dumped brown into my hair, when the well known process for greying is to add blond to round out the grey coming in. In doing so, she ruined the entire process- all the money and time I've invested into it too.Not only that, she cut my hair as a straight haired person, when my hair is naturally curly/wavy. And then charged me $200 for the whole mess.I reached out to the owner Holly, and she offered to fix it for free. However, I have such a bad vibe now with this salon that I didn't want to go back, and will end up probably paying $500 to get it fixed at a more reputable salon.Buyer beware. I feel completely taken advantage of, and no money back has been offered.
