Bodega Ridge

After getting engaged and deciding that we wanted to host our wedding on Vancouver Island, we came across ‘Bodega Ridge’ and set up a tour of the venue. From the time we arrived on Galiano Island, there was a sense that we had found a very special place that would carry with it a number of memories and return visits! This was further confirmed by our experience on the property, where a vision of what our wedding day would look like was described.From the ceremony site overlooking the Trincomali Channel, to the spaces allocated for dining and celebrating, and the cozy cabins in a tranquil setting surrounded by nature, we had discovered a spot that suited us perfectly! As the excitement towards our day built and plans came together, we couldn’t have asked for a more relaxed setting for the most enjoyable wedding experience.Following our rehearsal, we were met with the most incredible mai tai cocktails, and a room so beautifully set for a family-style meal. The variety and flavours were incredible, as were the staff involved in catering our evening. The accessibility of the property is also a bonus, allowing family and friends to come together for events such as ours, settle into their cabins, and enjoy the food and festivities without needing to travel too far once you’ve arrived.We would highly recommend Bodega Ridge as both a wedding venue, and a spot to escape for a quiet weekend to reset. We thoroughly enjoyed the property, and the hospitality offered here!

We cannot recommend a better venue than Bodega Ridge for your wedding dreams!We got married in mid September of 2021. We chose this venue for two reasons. 1. Have all our friends and family in one place for our wedding weekend. 2. Have our dog with us for the weekend.Apart from the fact that the venue is absolutely stunning, the staff are truly amazing and tried their very best to accommodate all our needs. Weather kept us on our toes, but the team were quick to adjust seamlessly as needed. One thing that exceeded our expectations was the food, the quality and flavors were so special, some simple meals were taken to the next level. I have been looking forward to executing a wedding at Bodega for years and at long last, had the opportunity last week! I cannot say enough good things about the experience!From the beginning, the planning process it was a dream! Angie, the wedding and event coordinator, was prompt and detailed. The wedding I was planning had many details and questions that needed to be answered before my clients could move forward and Angie answered each question in detail with lightning speed, no detail or question too small. Angie is one of the most organized people I have ever worked with and it made the planning process so much easier! Angie worked tirelessly to ensure my clients had all the information they needed. Angie and the Bodega team have an easy to navigate planning system to help guide couples through the tasks that need attention at the time they are needing to be addressed. We planned the majority of the wedding during the thick of Covid, and she did everything within her power to make that process streamlined, including virtual site visits.In the time leading up to the wedding I was able to have a logistics meeting with the team to ensure a smooth event, and it was evident that they take great care and pride in ensuring every single person attending their weddings is taken care of.During the event it's self, the team was outstanding! I don't think I have ever been a part of a wedding where so many guests expressed their appreciation of the staff that was working the event. The food was outstanding (I am still dreaming about it!), the wine selection thoughtful and intentional, and the team truly worked together to ensure a perfect celebration for the guests. Carlin and James lead the team with care and were fantastic to work with.I cannot say enough good things about my experience and I hope to return and do many more weddings at Bodega Ridge, on the beautiful island of Galiano. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this celebration a success! It was truly an honour.

I travelled to Galiano Island from Vancouver to stay at Bodega Ridge Feb 25-27 to celebrate my 35th birthday with a few girlfriends. Unfortunately, a downed tree on the island caused a power outage on the second night that lasted until check-out. The manager, James, was absolutely incredible and refunded the second night in it's entirely AND gave me a bottle of bubbly for my birthday! The cabin itself was rustic, but beautifully furnished and the grounds were immaculately kept. I was so impressed with their excellent customer service in a situation beyond their control and look forward to returning to Bodega Ridge in the future.

Went to dinner with some friends to Lola's. It was superb. The food was just delicious. So many flavors and they went so well together. I don't even know where to start.The portions were really a decent size. None of us left feeling hungry.I was hoping to try one of the desserts, but by time I finish my dinner, and some of my friends dinners there was no space for anything else. I had one of the salads . I can't remember what the salad was called but it had seared tuna in it, and was so delicious. I also had the ling cod. It was cooked perfectly. And the flavors were just beautiful. My friends had different salads and the deep fried chicken. I had a taste of the deep fried chicken, it is probably by far some of the best deep fried chicken I have ever tasted in my entire life. Everything was fabulous and amazing and I just haven't got the words to express it. If it wasn't so expensive I would be eating there much more frequently. But it was a really nice treat, or a fabulous place to go for a special occasion.

We hosted our small wedding here at the end of August, and we truly could not have imagined a better spot than Bodega Ridge (BR). We chose BR after having dined at their restaurant the summer before, and their food was exceptional! Fresh, seasonal, quality ingredients with amazing presentation and unique combinations - eating there was an experience the entire time. Even the food they had waiting for us in the kitchen of our cabins was one of my partner's highlights! All our guests stayed on the property for 2 nights, so we could truly immerse ourselves into celebrating with everyone while soaking up the Island life. You could tell they run a people's first business, the staff were kind, professional, reasonable, flexible, and really hospitable. The GM and Wedding Coordinator are who you want around when hosting a wedding, really tailor your experience to your individual requests (or offer ideas when you're feeling stuck). They went above and beyond numerous times...for instance, when we came for a day trip, they offered and followed through on arranging a bottle of wine to be delivered to our home by the winemaker (on Vancouver Island) to taste before we committed to serving it at our Reception! If we could do it all over again, we wouldn't change a thing.

I must say this is an excellent place that you need to choose to stay here. It's very clean like a hotel's quality. They also prepared everything that we need, so it feels like a home. My family and I are very happy with the Bodega Ride. Also, Bodega Ride is pet friendly, they prepared a bed and a bowl for my dog. Finally I would like to thank Jason, he is a very nice guy and keeps the Bodega Ride well organized and everything is in order. He also introduced a lot of useful information to me, thanks a lot. My family and I will be looking forward to our next stay in Bodega Ride for sure.

If you are thinking of booking a wedding at Bodega Ridge, don't think twice and do it! We had many friends speak highly of the venue and we ended up putting a deposit down before ever seeing the place. It was a bit of a risk at the time but in hindsight was the best wedding planning decision we made. Angie Allen and James Langford are incredible point of contacts and helped the weekend run smoothly. The venue created an intimate and relaxing atmosphere for our guests to connect and have fun. The food was remarkable and we would highly recommend ordering the paella, hanger steak, and potatoes. Overall, we couldn't have imagined a better wedding and will think back fondly on our experience with Bodega.

My husband and I recently held our intimate wedding ceremony at Bodega Ridge, and we could not have imagined a more beautiful setting. Having both grown up on a gulf island (Bowen Island), we knew Bodega was the perfect venue for our wedding as it encapsulated the best of what we love about the west coast, while also feeling like a real getaway. The ceremony site is absolutely stunning, with ocean views framed by arbutus trees, and our ceremony went off without a hitch thanks to the hard work of Angie and Danika. Our group stayed in the beautiful Cove cabins, just minutes down the road from Bodega’s main property. Everyone loved the modern, yet rustic feel of the cabins, and being steps away from the beach was a huge bonus! The Cove was such a great space for everyone to hang out and feel at ease, which is exactly what we wanted for our wedding.
