Michelle had a house listed Wednesday April 27. I called to book an appointment on April 28 and booked an appointment for Saturday May 1 at 1:00PM.On May 1, I drove to my scheduled appointment only to see that the house had been sold. I was not informed or given warning that my appointment had been cancelled. When we arrived at the property, I immediately called Michelle and sent a text message. When Michelle did return my call, she indicated that she had no appointments scheduled for that day and the house had been sold. I indicated that she had scheduled me for Saturday. At that point, she retracted her statement and said that she had two showings both of which were informed through text message that the showings were cancelled. I never received a message and when I indicated that, she became rude and verbally offensive. She was caught in a clear lie.When a booking is confirmed, the agent and brokerage should have the respect and responsibility to cancel the appointment or inform of an offer. As a prospective buyer, I should not be disrespected by the agent.By not informing other buyers, Michelle did a disservice to the homeowner and the industry. It is not ethical.
