Wonderful bakery, all around! Specifically though, we have gotten their cakes for our daughters birthday the last few years and they are incredible! High quality ingredients and so much attention paid to making a beautiful and delicious cake without going too over the top. When I’m season they decorate with gorgeous flowers from their garden. A birthday tradition for years to come.

Bread is a highlight for sure. Superb quality of ingredients and an irresistible variety of pastries… my only complaint is that the sandwich seemed a bit too expensive to me… but for freshly-baked bread, it could be justified. Great place highly recommended by locals!

Best bread I've had! Healthy bread yet it still has the fluffiness it should. They have a good variety of breads as well. They're always accommodating to making my bread plastic free, I really appreciate that. My mom also raves about how delicious their bread tastes.Their vegan cake is decadent rich chocolatey goodness with an elegant design.

My husband and I recently revisited Wildfire Bakery located at 1517 Quadra Street (corner of Mason and Quadra, Victoria, BC), after a hiatus of about 5 years. We were walking in the area, when we saw the quaint old building and remembered we had been there once. At that time of the day it was very busy, as it obviously has a solid, loyal customer base, so we gave up trying to get someone’s attention and left. The second time it was not so busy, we had a good look at everything and purchased a loaf of whole wheat bread. It was so fresh and appetizing, that as soon as we got home we broke big chunks of the crusty loaf and wolfed it down at once. Since then we have been back a few times trying different items. Their muffins are big and satisfying, the carrot cake is tasty and the chocolate cake is heavenly. They also have a good selection of wholesome-looking sandwiches and cookies. The place is small, quaint and down-to-earth. Their staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They have a large selection of healthy breads (whole wheat, spelt, and rye, among others) baked daily in a wood-fired oven. We also appreciate their good selection of stone ground whole grain flours from Nootka Rose milling in Metchosin. I doubt whether one could find better breads anywhere in Greater Victoria.

1st time trying Seeded Rye bread (bought at Lifestyle Market) when I was in town. The texture, the caraway, cumin & mustard seeds are amazing. I will definately be placing orders before I drive in from Sooke.

Love the veggie sandwich...although, the 4 times I have had in comparison to the 20 times I go in at 1:20pm and they are all sold out is somewhat annoying. I understand that it is a sign of a popular place when they sell out constantly. But, that only tracks if you actually TRY to make enough to get through a day. My lunch isn't until later in the day.....so, make more!!Also, I really appreciate the friendly customer service....but sometimes, when there is a line-up, you might want to prioritize the customer over finishing your story about your last dental experience. Just sayin'?
