Thorncliffe Park Garden
It's Thorncliffe Park Community Garden Club. Not one of the City managed Community Gardens. Around 130 plots in 2 locations, split by Beth Nealon Dr. The eastern side is the largest and oldest garden club in Toronto. Self- governed by executive committee, self funded, AND maintained by members. Members must contribute time to help cut grass, clean up, weed, etc outside their plots as well as pay a $25 annual fee. Not many plots come avail. Means long waiting list, often years to be assigned a plot. Good camaraderie, friendly atmosphere. Possibly threatened by planned Ontario Line.
