Crystal Lake Campground

We pulled in to Crystal Lake Campground after a long time on the road. My husband jumped out with our dog on a leash and the owner stopped him right there and gave him the rules about dogs. Although it states that they allow dogs they clearly would rather not. The dog was allowed on our campsite and down the road to an area they called Pet area. Sometimes when a dog first gets up and heads out the door for morning business it’s hard to drag them to the designated pee area. It was a quite a way down the road. Tons of rules. Just didn’t give you that welcoming feeling.. would not go back.

Terrible customer service! The owner is rude and lacks basic customer service. She clearly doesn’t like or want dogs on her property. In the washroom/shower room she posted a sign to tell her guests they must clean shower and floors with paper towels when finished. Worst campsite I’ve ever visited. Cash only campsite, $65 a night. Two sheets of rules to follow. Basically your only allowed to sit in your trailer and not move. Would never recommend to anyone.

Excellent location right by the lake. Wifi works great and owners are on site and easy to talk to. Very clean facility overall. Sites are full hook up and extremely clean. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing place where they can swim and enjoy the quite. Also on the beach there is a little playground with lots of trucks, slides and toys right on the beach, it was a dream come true for my toddler whom enjoyed the water as well as the trucks. Would highly recommend it and will be back again.

Seems like a nice place at first. But there are more rules than i have ever seen at any campground. There is no tollerance for pets. If you break any rule by accident you will be verbally assaulted. Lake is nice but the owners not so much.

My review is positive for this campground. Very nice and clear lake and well maintained campsite. Beach is ideal for swimming and water is very clean. We (9 people) stayed there one day. Washrooms are very clean as well. Liz and Robin are friendly. I personally highly recommend this campground. The only negative thing it is close to railway and you can hear sounds of trains occasionally.

Crystal Lake Campground is a beautiful place to stay. The owners are very friendly and the spots are very spacious. The bathrooms and shower houses are clean and well taken care of. We didn't have any kids with but there is plenty for them to do as mentioned in earlier reviews. We will definitely recommend this place to others and would stay here again.

We stayed overnight with our motor home at this amazing amazing place.The service was wonderful, the location is immaculate, absolutely gorgeous.Manicured lawns, beautiful spacious sites and the lake that you walk to is fabulous.We had stayed in the area we would have stayed longer.Location is right off the highway less than one kilometer and easy easy access.Thank you so much for everything crystal lake.

Beautiful campground, owners are not friendly at all, one of the most expensive campgrounds we have stayed, been coast to coast. Will take cash only.had our dog on a leash when we got out of the motor home, the owner was quick to give the rules about being on a leash which she was, then later drove past our campsite slowly asked if she was tied which she was, not a pet friendly place at all. They also want you to clean showers when done showering. The price we paid for this campground cleaning should be included. I would not recommend this campground to anyone!!’

On a cross canada trip ,stop for the evening, very well kept grounds,like going to your grandma's house ,and not able to sit on the furniture, the staff was very unfriendly, stayed inside our trailer, till morning, they need to realize that they are running a camp ground not renting out there house, it has to be used, to be a cost place to relax , no matter how many rules the owners make , will never succeed with having a wonderful return destination. Maybe lean customer service and chill, make people welcome, not ready to leave...
