I had a rubbing sound on van on my arrival to Garden Bay from Victoria. Asked the locals about a good mechanic and they sent me to Wayne and the boys at Pender Harbour AutomotiveNext day I was looked after and had brakes fixed. Good service and rates. Highly recommend them.

I won't typically leave reviews but the poor service from Pender Harbour Auto shouldn't go unchecked. They replaced a window regulator on my truck. Simple repair but they neglected to reinstall the retaining bracket and bolts, which left a single bolt holding on the inner door panel. They also covered this up by reinstalling the button hole covers. Not a big deal but the window was also covered in greasy hand prints. When I took the truck back, Wayne apologized but his mechanic suggested the fix was to bolt on a piece of metal" to use as a bracket. Wayne corrected his mechanic and promised to order the correct parts. Crickets are all I've heard since then. I now have to order the parts myself and finish the job properly."

Great spot and great service. Honest fair people. I was extremely lucky to have Wayne available to help me and my gf mid day on a Saturday as a clunking sound turned out to be a loose wheel that could have killed us. Fair price and good fast work. Very much recommended. Truly a lifesaver.

***Update. We had a breakdown in Sechelt and couldn't find a mechanic in the area that was able to take over vehicle within three to four weeks. Contacted Wayne, and he took the SUV immediately and made the necessary repair within a couple of days. Wayne and the whole crew at Pender Harbour Automotive are the best in the business!***Big thanks to Wayne and crew for checking our SUV brakes and suspension. So happy to have an honest mechanic so close to home in Garden Bay. We'll be taking our vehicles here for years to come. Highly recommended!

Our small community is lucky to have such an excellent repair facility! Of course their work is top-notch, but they go above and beyond to source parts and keep the costs reasonable, support the community, and are all-round good people. When my vehicle broke down and every other mechanic on the coast was booked solid for over a month, Wayne managed to squeeze me in in less than a week when he got a cancellation.

I reached out via telephone and Bryon was the technician to answer my call. He correctly diagnosed and helped educate me on what was wrong and how the broken part worked. He was very helpful over the phone as I was far away from the shop. Honest, trustworthy and straight to the point.

Great service here. I had an issue with my van, mid-road trip. These guys recognized I was in a bind, and made time in their day to sort me out. It was a quick fix, but one I wouldn't have been able to do, and it got me and the family back on the road.
