I went to Mr Carb only because they were the closest approved mechanic under my warranty. In July 2019, I went because of a noise and it turned out my turbo needed replacing.All was fine until the following spring when the same noise that brought me to them in the first place started again. I said I think it's the turbo again, they did a diagnostic and said no. When I left, my car cut out in the middle of the road while driving home, twice. I made my way back and Dom said to just keep driving it. No accountability. No explanation. Just keep driving it...I decided to go to another mechanic in Ajax. They did a thorough diagnostic and low and behold it was the turbo again. By this time the warranty was over, but it was in play when I initially went back to Mr. Carb and told them about the issue.My entire experience with them was negative. My worries were discounted and ignored, and every time I visited it felt like I was being a nuisance. I asked questions because I was confused and I was yelled at and spoken to in a very rude manner. I will never go back there and would not recommend them.

Dominic is an amazing person. Very honest and upfront with everything. Willing to explain anything that goes on with the car. He also brings the piece to you and shows you why it had to be replaced. Extremely reasonable rates.

Dom and the guys at Mr. Carb are just the best. They have been taking care of my families cars since I was a kid. And now I trust them with my car. They know their stuff and are honest as they come.

I've been taking my car to Dominic since the day I got it. My fathers friend reccomended I go there. The team there is great. Dominic is patient and willing to take on just about any job! Lately its been just oil changes but he has done plenty of work on my car. He always lets me know if something can wait to be fixed because he knows I'm a student and am usually strapped for cash. He also tells me how to do smaller jobs on my own so I'm not spending labour on miniscule jobs! It was obvious he cared about inspecting the car I'm considering purchasing to confirm there are no mechanical issues. Makes me more confident in buying a vehicle from a private seller.

I visited this business for the first time today, November 17, 2022. I had my winter tires put on my HONDA FIT. I was greeted by Domenic, the owner, with a friendly smile and quick advice. The job was completed before I finished making my work calls. The price was reasonable and he accommodated me within a day of calling. After service, we spoke about vehicles and he was again friendly and very knowledgeable. I will definitely use this company in the future. A great honest mechanic is sooo hard to find!
