So me and two of my friends came here late at night and felt we couldn't leave a certain spot and when we looked near the field and bleachers and felt a presence of some sort and then th sudden urge that we had to leave and we've only gotten that feeling once

We used to frequent this park when we lived in the area. Great for kids. Some play equipment and swings, along with soccer fields and baseball diamonds.

A brisk walk thru the park, over 6 inches of the white stuff will get most people energized. Take a flashlight and always walk with a friend to be on the safe side. Lock your vehicles while enjoying the fresh air.

This park was named after a captain and is located on Mary Street... Captain James Wyngard STEINHOFF, he was born in 1834 in St. Thomas, Ontario, the son of John Steinhoff and Mary Ann Ousterhout, and died in 1921 in Wallaceburg, Ontario. As well as being involved in many other occupations, such as lumbering, cook, teamster, mail carrier, sawyer, ship builder, ship's captain, he was also the first mayor of Wallaceburg. This park has some plat equipment and a ball diamond... beautiful place to sit and have a picnic on a warm summers day. The tennis courts are just across the street at the far side.
