Zex Toronto Turbochargers & Superchargers

Zex and crew carried out an outstanding job on our 1986 GMC Rally Wagon. Last year we got the carburetor replaced in Vancouver and it required additional tuning after making along trip back to Toronto. We also had some issues with leaks and starting. I was searching for mechanics or someone who would work on our van but appeared to be very difficult until someone directed me to Zex and his team.I have nothing but good things to say about these guys. They done a full tune up including tuning the carburetor along with repairing issues we hadn't noticed yet.Starting and driving the van now is a completely different experience, its like driving a new van. I cannot express enough my thanks to all the team and will be recommending to anyone who asks and will be returning for any future work we require on the van.Unbelievable job everyone, Thanks again

Zex repaired the Turbo on our 2013 Kia. The service was fantastic! They accommodated us, quickly getting us back on the road in time for a pre-arranged road trip to family. As other reviewers have stated, they know their stuff and inspire confidence. The A/C wasn't working well before we dropped of the car. When we got it back it seemed to have failed completely. I called Zex and they had me stop by shortly before they closed on the weekend. A quick diagnostic and they fixed the A/C, resolving an issue caused by the Kia dealership (the A/C was overcharged).Finally, our next oil change was free - they wanted to see the car again to check their work. All in all outstanding performance and service. I would not hesitate to recommend this shop to anybody!

The team at zex took great care of my car. They inspire trust and bring a high level of service. Only shop that I could find willing to work on my turbo and had the car back on the road in a couple days. Can't say enough good things about the service.

Brought our car in for replaced two turbochargers in our Lincoln Mkt. Repair was $2500 less than the dealership. KAYLE was wonderful made my husband and me feel so comfortable. We are two seniors trying to survive on a government pension and they were great. Don't think about going anywhere else. We even had to drive almost two hours to pick it up but well worth it. Despite it being a simple oil change, they treated me like I was their main priority (I know they had much larger jobs on their hands). I have bringing my vehicle's to zex automotive for 15 years. I have hadover 10 different makes an models serviced with them.( acura Honda bmw gmc Volkswagen ) all of them with over 200,000km. they provide excellent service and resolve vehicle concerns the first time even with the high milage issues !!. if your tired of searching for a reliabletrust worthy service center. I highly recommend visiting zex automotive. the service they provide I can honestly say is at par with dealerships. they treat you with the customer first attitude. Good Service. Great Price! Had to swap out my all season tires and Kyle took his time to review tire types with me as well as gave me the best pricing I could find! SHORT VERSION:Took two weeks to give a quote that was 3x the cost of the competition, and never once stuck to their word on when they'd call me back.LONG VERSION:My Vortech V2 needed a rebuild so I called to get a quote. They said they would need to see it in person. I brought it in and they said they'd need to inspect it and call me later with a quote. No problem, I understand businesses get busy.I waited a week and no one called me so I called. They said they were having trouble finding parts and would call me tomorrow. I waited another few days and no one called again. I called and they said they'd call me tomorrow again. I again never received a call, so I called again after waiting over 2 weeks total with them having my supercharger sitting there doing nothing. They finally quoted me $1500 and minimum two weeks wait for a rebuild. Given how long it took to just get a quote and how they couldn't even stick to their word on calling me back, I was worried it would sit for much longer, so I shopped around.I wasn't sure what the going rate for a rebuild was, but that did seem high. Lo and behold, owners of the exact same supercharger report having sent theirs directly to Vortech for significantly less money. I ended up finding a specialist in California who could do a full rebuild for $400 USD with 3 business day turnaround. That said, it would still cost me about $50 to ship it each way, so let's call it $650 CAD to be safe. Honestly, I would have GLADLY spent up to $1000 to support a local business instead, but I couldn't justify spending upwards of 2x the cost and it taking longer to support a local business that didn't seem to give enough of a damn about my business to ever even call me back.When I picked up my supercharger from Zex, I thought it would be fair to give them another opportunity to compete with the quote. I didn't expect it to be matched, but as I said I'd gladly pay up to about $1000 ($350 more) to keep my business local. They said it was impossible" to get a rebuild done for that much and wouldn't budge. Fair enough!I wouldn't have posted this review based on the price alone... you're welcome to set your prices how you like

Heard about this place through my Toyota dealership. They helped me rebuild the AC compressor in our Toyota Sequioa. Excellent customer service. Highly recommend. Thank you Kyle, Eric & Zex. You guys are awesome!!!
