So I reserved the Jeep for a wedding which I was super excited about. Sadly had to cancel because of Covid since the borders weren’t opening. I was told when I canceled that only 50% could be refundable due to the cancellation policy which literally was a 2 day difference ( keep in mind I had no control on when the government was going to make that decision). Now instead of paying me back the 50% right away ( as mentioned in their legal document regarding cancellations) they sent me a gift card of 100% of the value. I’ve never seen a company charge so much money through cancellations policies which I feel like I was being scammed, I couldn’t believe it. I felt so badly treated when I tried to cancel my trip, the lady kept saying take some time to think about it even I told her what my decision was more than once. When my boyfriend tried to help me with this situation because I get really bad social anxiety when it comes to situations like this, the only way to get someone to talk to us was by writing a 1 star review. When they finally got into contact with my boyfriend they mostly only asked him to remove his review. This situation could have been avoided if I was treated better from the beginning, and I would have probably gone back to this company for futur vacations but because of the poor customer service and extremely horrible cancellation policies I’ll pay more money and go to their competition. Therefore, sadly I don’t recommend this company.

I rented a Van from Vanlife for a weekend trip with my family, and overall, we can say that the design and conditions of the Van were amazing. It had everything we needed, including cookware, utensils, bedding, and towels.The rental process was also straightforward and hassle-free. The staff at Vanlife was friendly and helpful, and they walked us through all the features of the RV before we hit the road. They also provided us with a detailed video and instructions on how to operate the RV, which was very helpful.Unfortunately, when we rented the Van there was a very strong storm on the weather forecast, one week before our weekend trip. On the second day of our trip, there was a storm with strong winds, when we woke up, the awning of the van was broken.We had to cover the cost of the replacement of broken awning for a new one, as the insurance we paid with the rental doesn't include accesories. Thankfully we came to an agreement with Vanlife and at least, they let us keep the broken awning.I suggest anyone planning to rent at Vanlife to read carefully their policies before doing a reservation in advance and I suggest Vanlife to offer more flexibility for changing the dates in the event of a weather hazard for the safety of their customers and also include an insurance for weather damages in their coverage, so the customer doesn't get charged for a situation out of their control.

We rented a van for a megatrip of a month, chasing the little MTB resorts that Eastern Canada and the US has to offer, with the fall colours as a bonus. We had the bigger MEA van with fixed shower and it performed beyond expectation. Easy to drive, well kitted out, plenty of space. The electricity worked very well, we needed half a sunny day to have the batteries on a 100% again. The heater worked like a charm. We could easily go self contained for three days in a row. We only used the warm water heater when we were hooked up to shore power though, as that draws a lot of power. We are dreaming of having one of these vans for ourselves now!The only remark I would have on the van is that it is hard to keep your luggage from moving all around the garage. Luckily we had straps with us, and we got quite handy in strapping our bags and bikes down, but a system that would allow to fix boxes or drawers would be ideal.Doors on the cabinets above the galley would also be good.The garage fits two long 29' mountainbikes easily.The company itself is a gem. We were helped with all our questions beofrehand, and they were very gracious, when I could not get the bikes disassembled (pedals were stuck) on the return day, they offered the van to us again so we could go to a bike shop, and waited for us to get it fixed. That was amazing. Thank you very much vanlifemtl for a great mountainbiking holiday. We will be back!

Loved my trip! The vans are so well built, comfortable, drives well and is literally your micro luxurious condo on wheels! I'll do it again for sure! Top it off with a very warm staff that makes it so much agreeable! Thank you :)

My husband and I just finished renting a van for 8 days and had a great experience from beginning to end. Vanlife Mtl was an extremely professional company. When we arrived to pick up our van, the van was ready for us out front and the paperwork was ready sitting on the table. Staff were extremely friendly and thorough. They reviewed the contract with us, showed us how everything on the van worked and gave us a telephone number to call 24 hours a day if we ran into any problems. The van was immaculate and well equipped. We were very impressed with the design of the van and how easy everything was to use. Returning the van was simple. It was such a pleasure to deal with such an amazing company. We would recommend them to anyone. We had a great time. Thankyou.

We had an amazing time road tripping Eastern Canada during the fall season with a van from VanLife MTL (22-30th September). The MEA 19'8'' model provides a great driving experience with all facilities on board. Very comfortable and unforgettable. We would recommendVanLife to anyone considering recreational rental, whether first-time in a van or experienced.Only point of criticism is that VanLife did not respond to questions we send beforehand via email and FB messenger.

Gabrielle Kemp, a friend of mine and one of the reviewers, rented a Jeep with Julia Bond and myself to go to a wedding in Ontario. Due to the pandemic, something we cannot control, the borders between Ontario and Quebec closed and the wedding was postponed two days after the cut off point for a full refund.After two negative reviews and an email to Gabrielle that can only be described as a formulaic corporate response, we made it our mission to warn others about a company that knows we are dissatisfied, continues to waste our time, and provides us with unfriendly solutions that only serve to keep our money in their pockets. They told us they treat every situation in a unique way though we have experienced nothing but empty apologies and anti-consumer practices.We understand that all companies are going through a difficult time but if this is their way of staying afloat it’s disgusting. Our interaction with them has been abysmal, our view of them is tarnished, and we will not recommend them to our friends, our family, and our colleagues. What a shame. I hear there’s a lot of people looking to travel locally this summer.

We just came back from our second VanLife Mtl roadtrip (or better said JeepLife Mtl) and definitely can recommend them! Compared to our booking last year, which was already pretty good, they actually stepped up their offering with nice little sponsored gifts when you get the car.Overall it's the perfect rental for any kind of camping roadtrip, if you want a stress-free trip, because everything you might need is already included. Pick-up was easy, the car and tent were perfectly fine as well and giving back the car was easy and smooth on a Sunday afternoon as well. Can't complain and will be looking forward maybe to next year to book them again for our Ontario roadtrip!

Did a trip around Gaspesie - with my son and my girlfriend. The Van was great! Provided everything you need for a roadtrip - off grid if you like. Only thing - if you are 6‘1, you sleep diagonally :)

We recently had the pleasure to rent a Loki Icarus 8 from VanLife for 2 weeks to tour Newfoundland. We wanted a vehicle that was compact enough to get around easily while also including everything we needed to sustain ourselves! Our expectations were exceeded and we had a great time - there's plenty of storage space and vanlife include all the essentials to ensure you'll have a great trip! Really highly recommended, and I would certainly use their services again.
