Mango Dogs

I took my 2 1/2 yr old Great Pyrenees named Moose to Mango dogs for aggression with other dogs and people coming to the house and to better basic training. We were lucky enough to work with Justine! Justine has been nothing but amazing to work with and Moose just adores her, and is always there for any questions I may have. She was there for not only Moose through training but myself as well. I have seen such an improvement in Moose I even have neighbours saying how well moose is doing now. We have been going to group lessons and I love that everyone supports everyone. I highly highly recommend Mango dogs to anyone!

We adopted our rescue dog Lucky, from South Korea in August last year. Lucky was bonded to me in few months but he was still skittish to my partner even 6 months after we adopted him. It was impossible for my partner to even put a leash on Lucky without my help. Lucky bit my partner few times when he tried putting a leash on. I was worried when I was out and I had to be ready to be back home any minute. Lucky was always running away from my partner at home. We tried lots of treats as positive enforcement training but did not work out. I was searching for a dog trainer and found Mango Dogs. We did a few phone consultations with Ted and moved on to the training with Taylor. All the methods from Ted and Taylor combined together and worked like magic. Lucky became a different dog in a month. Lucky is not skittish to my partner and always come for a leash. Now my partner can pet and even kiss to Lucky. We never imagined this could happen. Also, Lucky was very reactive to other dogs while walking. He lunged, barked and nipped but he walks like an angel after training with Taylor.Now We actually enjoy walking with Lucky. I have never been so impressed!! I could not recommend Mango Dogs enough! Taylor has completely changed our life at home with our 80lbs rescue dog, Yuna. My boyfriend and I had been struggling with how reactive Yuna had become toward dogs and people, from negative experiences with other dogs. I was starting to lose hope that we would ever have our friendly girl back, but finding Mango Dogs changed all of that as Taylor's incredibly impressive skills/knowledge have made our lives- and Yuna's -astronomically better. He helped us through every problem in the most impressive, effective and knowledgeable way I could ever imagine was possible.She walks with us on leash (and off leash!) with no issue now, no pulling or reactivity while walking. She gets to finally feel calm while walking on leash, can walk right past other dogs without getting reactive; and we can finally enjoy spending time with her again and trying new experiences, such as hiking. Another experience we get to have with her again is taking her to parks to run around and play with her, something we had been missing due to reactivity at the park and we did not know proper recall. I could go on for hours about how much Taylor and Mango Dogs has changed our lives in just a short amount of time!Not only was Taylor's skills and knowledge so beneficial for Yuna, but also, I looked forward to every single training session as Taylor is incredibly enjoyable to get to speak to, as well as makes you feel very comfortable to ask questions.The entire experience we have had with Mango Dogs is truly unforgettable and I could not possibly be more happy!

We’ve been amazed at the progress of our Rocky thanks to our fantastic trainer Justine and the Mango Dogs program.We adopted Rocky from Texas at six months and what he lacked in confidence and discipline, he made up for with affection and exuberance.After our initial four at-home sessions, we’ve seen Rocky’s confidence blossom and he’s now become the dog he was always meant to be. Whereas before he would pull on leashes and helplessly bark at other dogs, fellow walkers or visitors, now he listens to commands, is able to walk off leash at the park with joy and ease! Hello Everyone:I am writing this review about our 3.5 year old female GSD. After having to say good-bye to our last Shepherd we were unsure about getting another dog until we saw this beauty! We knew the breed but it became obvious quite quickly that she was in need of some help with reactivity to people and other dogs.We tried a few other trainers with some success but needed something more. We were at our wits end but not willing to give up on her.We contacted Mango Dogs and Kawhi completed the one month board and train with Justine.Justine has a special connection with animals and did an amazing job! She/Mango Dogs are readily available to help, answer questions and are personable and are very knowledgeable.Kawhi has become a different dog being able to be around other dogs and people. She no longer barks and growls at people while in the vehicle.She is able to attend group classes. I really never thought I would see the day that she would be able to do this.Without this help, knowledge and tools given to us by Mango Dogs and Justine, we would not have our beautiful Kawhi living with us today.We learn something new everyday and we are all a work in progress.We have recommended this company and Justine to other people and will continue to do so.

Our Jackson is a 4 year old Havenese who has a wonderful personality but also has a few bad habits that were holding him back from being his best self..;). Working with Taylor at Mango Dogs has helped Jack to respect boundaries and to work harder on his impulses. I would definitely recommend Mango Dogs for your dog training if your fur baby is in need of some help to adjust their attitudes..;)

Our experience with dog training before Mango dogs was quite frustrating. We went through two trainers and a veterinarian behaviouralist. All of them only wanted to do management training and got me to do things like tarp my fence and other things to stop my dog from seeing things that made him reactive. This isn't the type of life that my husband and I wanted for our dog and I didn't want to believe that this was our only option. Our dog is dog/human reactive and aggressive. He resource guards our house/yard and he pulls, lunges, and growls while on walks. This caused us a lot of stress and at times had us feeling very isolated. With Taylors help and guidance our dog now walks more confidently with much less reactivity and looks to my husband and I with trust in all uncomfortable situations. He makes better decisions because we have successfully been able to bring down his level of intensity enough for him to listen and understand what's needing to be done in the moment. They are there for every question you have when ever you want to ask one. They want updates on how training is going through out the week to make sure things are going well and will use this information to further make yours and your dogs training experience the right one for you. We are excited to be joining group class this coming weekend and continue our training with Taylor. We are very happy with our experience with Mango Dogs!

I was at my wits end with my 3 dogs fighting in the home! I had tried 3 different trainers and was getting no where fast! I got referred to Mango Dogs by my neighbour who had similar experiences with her dog. Mango Dogs offered my a complimentary evaluation and I knew walking out, this was exactly what we needed.We are not 100% of the way there but I can now live a mostly normal life with my dogs getting along! Mango Dogs gave my the confidence to be able to deal with the issue and the tools I needed to get the job done! My dog has genetic aggression with resources guarding in a house of 3 dogs, they had their work cut out for them and never batted an eye! We had always wanted to add a Great Dane to our family because of their regal and calm demeanour, but quickly came to find that was not the case with our 13 month old, Osler. We did puppy obedience classes, consistent at-home training and still couldn't manage his reactivity around other dogs. Leash walking him was a nightmare, and he would lunge, bark and try and rush to greet other dogs constantly - which, as a 130lb (and growing) pup, was getting out of hand very quick.I found Mango Dogs through a Google search and reached out to them the same evening. It was the best decision we've ever made. Even during the initial in-person consultation with Ted, he had Osler completely listening and obeying him. We didn't recognize our dog! Our trainer, Taylor, came to our house for a one-hour training session every weekend, and gave us all the tools we need to redirect unwanted behaviours.Walking Osler is so enjoyable now, and he knows exactly what is expected of him. We're looking forward to many adventures with him now knowing that we have complete control over any situation. We're so grateful for Mango Dogs and the professional, personalized training they offered. We are excited to get to group class every weekend and continue our progress!
