I have mixed feelings about this store. Growing up in the 70's and 80's my Grandmother knit Cowichan sweaters, slippers and tuques for this establishment. She was paid 5% for what they sold.

This place is awesome, the Indian sweaters are amazing. When you walk through the store you can't help but take in the culture, and be amazed at the beauty in the work, and the time it took to finish these works of art. I am in awe every time I walk through the door. Take a walk through and be amazed.

Great place with an incredible selection of art and carvings by numerous well known artists! Great selection of souvenirs and gifts as well as a huge selection of handmade cowichan sweaters, well worth a visit!

Best place for Cowichan wool and patterns. The staff is always really great here and the woman often at the front desk is always friendly and really knows her stuff. Definitely the best place to get Cowichan wool for knitting.

Very tidy and easy to browse store. I was looking for some room decorations and thought these very reasonably priced art cards would do the trick. They have lots of nice wood-carved native works. It's kinda like a small museum.

Absolutely beautiful store with very neat goods! Ended up finding a gorgeous wooden salmon as well as many other goodies. Price was very reasonable all things considered and the employees were very friendly. Highly recommend stoping here if you're looking for some Indigenous gifts and goods!

the gal in store is weird, she comes right up to you with hands on hips, can i help you, then she stands there,strange, when u talk to her she doesnt respond. she should not work in public yikes! she is a larger native woman

I finally found somewhere that sells the type of moccasins that I love. Good moccasins are so hard to find. Love the store and the sales clerk was helpful.

Experience was that I was interested in the sign and window display. A walk at last call down a historic and touristy street that led me to a uniquely beautiful place!

I wanted to buy some indigenous west coast art and I found a great framed piece here by Richard Shorty which I did buy (the price was good). HOWEVER, the store staff sat on her stool drinking her Starbucks and didn’t engage with any customers (more than just me browsing). I asked her a question about the art and she seemed bothered. I liked it so much I bought it anyways. The checkout process was awkward as if she didn’t want my business. Why have a job on a main tourist street and destination and not be friendly?!
