Hotel PUR, Quebec, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

An excellent hotel but expect a good 20min walk into Old Quebec. The room was spacious with a king size bed with a work station behind. The usual room safe, refrigerator, coffee machine, TV, iron etc.Good size shower room although water pressure not great.We used the restaurant for breakfast and an evening dinner, good selection on menu although the buffet breakfast option may only be at the weekends.Well equipped gym and decent size pool, a little cool but then the sauna topped it off.

Enjoyed my stay here. I like the location in St Roch, , it's a bit of a walk to the old town but the area has lots of restaurants. Nice view from the room, and as a Bonvoy elite member the free breakfasts in the restaurant were outstanding, with superb service. The rooms are a bit small and basic (no sofa, no table). Paid parking expensive but very convenient . Staff really friendly. This is a great option in Quebec City.

It seems like they did some renovation so room is clean and bathroom looks fine. However it is hard to say this hotel is 4stars. There was water running sound from toilet even we did not use(makes sound when other room use it) and water pressure from shower was very weak. They put 2 body lotion so body washer was missing. Agents were kind but when I request body washer, it took long time. There were nice restaurants near hotel and parking was ok.

Pleasant staff throughout. On premise parking in garage under hotel. Great view from some rooms. Not in the best area of the city but there are some good stores close by. The hotel restaurant, Table, is very good and has buffet breakfast each morning. The indoor pool is great to swim laps, and there is a sauna and gym too. The lobby has nice sitting areas with a fireplace. All in all, a great hotel for traveling around Quebec City.

Positives: Service was responsive and friendly. Pool is quite large and good for kids. Sauna was great. Location is convenient.Negatives: Although the site warns that their parking has limited spaces we were told we could not park due to the size of our truck. As a result we needed to park across the street which is more troublesome for unloading/loading. In our first room the toilet was not functioning, but the staff moved us to a new room without any fuss.

To be honest, I had a very pleasant stay in the Marriott operated hotel. Check in was friendly and fast. They gave me a spacious room on the eleventh floor with a good view of the city. The bed was comfy enough to get a good rest, but not soundproof, as I could hear the family staying in the room next to me. Due to the lack of time I didn’t swim laps in the pool or sweat in the sauna this time, but I will do so next time. Various shops and restaurants are located within walking distance.

Honestly for the price of over 200 a night I expected much more. The hotel is ok, the room as you can see is quite normal, to me the desk behind the bed was not very smart, the space is quite small and there is almost no place to put your legs or put the monitor of the person sitting. The bathroom was nothing special, at least the water strength was very good, but as you can see they don't give you anything, they put jars with shampoo, cream and liquid soap, which in the two days I was there, it was always empty. The heated pool, at least when I was there, didn't seem to be very heated. The towels looked as if they had taken large towels and cut them to make several. In the end that's my feeling of the hotel, it's as if they looked for every possible way to reduce everything to the minimum.

We stayed here in the Saint Roch quarter of Quebec city for the weekend.The accommodation was comfortable, but not luxurious.The service team was very adequate in both French and English , and we felt that the coffee espresso in room was a nice upgrade.We had breakfast both days in the restaurant , I recommend ordering from the menu and not selecting from the Buffet.A good selection if you don’t want to stay in the upper or the Lower town.

The entire staff at this hotel is phenomenal. The concierge crew, both Jacques and Denis, are knowledgeable and so very helpful. The front desk and housekeeping staff are all available to lend a helping hand. The restaurant is great, the food is wonderful and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We were very happy with the accommodations and our time spent there.
