Dropped my central vacuum off for repair on a Thursday and it was ready the next day. Cost was below rates I had received and it works better than ever. A terrific Gentleman and I''ll be taking all my vacuum needs there going forward. Excellent service!

Owner was very knowledgeable and prompt with answering questions. Went down to the store and he knew exactly what I needed. Purchased for a fraction of the price in which I had found at various retailers online and I had the product in hands within minutes versus days. Would highly recommend you call here first before looking elsewhere.

Went to pick my vacuum cleaner up today. Used it when I got home. Everything is working perfectly again! In fact, it seems to be working better than it was before. This vacuum is at least 15 years old, probably older; we bought it before my mom passed away, and she's been gone 15 1/2 years already. Not only did he fix the problem I was having with the power nozzle, but he also was able to pull the wand apart. The 2 parts of the wand had been stuck together for over a year and a half; I couldn't pull them apart no matter what I tried. It'll make it so much easier to do smaller cleaning jobs now! I also was able to buy 10 replacement bags and a filter for my model of vacuum cleaner, which is great news for me as Sears is no longer open in Canada! I won't have to order them online when i need to buy new ones. Any of you people who still have Kenmore vacuum cleaners, check this place out if you need a place to buy bags and filters for your vacuum! With the repairs, the bags, and the filter, it still only cost me $87.97. I think the bags and filter cost more than the repairs, what a bargain this place is! I won't go anywhere else from now on!

Ridiculously honest and knowledgeable! I'll never take my vacuum anywhere else! Knew off the top of his head exactly what the problem was, and what part to get it fixed.

Seems benign talking about getting your vacuum repaired but honestly, I initially took my vacuum to a place which I won't name. Told them my problem and they just said it needed a new cord and said it'd be ready in 3 days and it'd be $50. On the 3rd day still not done. Said screw this and took my vacuum back. Brought it here as it's close to my work. He said it just needed a new plug and would be ready the next day. Next day, he calls says it also could use a new belt and clean out of the bottom brushes. Picked it up, new plug, belt, replaced bag, and cleaned brushes for $34 all in. I don't generally do reviews but this place deserved one as they do a honest, fair and good job.

Last summer I bought a reconditioned Electrolux and it is a 1000 times better than vacuum I was using at home - very pleased!Did bring vacuum in twice for small repair, and most recent was 1+ year from purchase - the switch was quickly repaired at no cost!!! Thank you for that, it was much appreciated! I would definitely recommend this shop!

I have been dealing for years with Compact Vacuums and found Steve to be very honest to do business with and his repairs and replacements parts are at a reasonable priced. I have never had a problem getting things fixed.

My friends and I have been coming there for years for repairs and also bought vacuums. Prices are very good and fast service. I made mistake of buying a bag-less vacuum at store and have had many problems with it. Steve recommended one that is good for pet hair and I am very happy with it. I could tell soon as I used it that my carpets are much cleaner and machine is light weight which is good for old (Middle-aged) gal like myself. He is one of the honest North End business owners and I enjoy chatting with him every time I go there.
