For all the times I stay in Halifax and this is the first time here….shame on me. I promise to be better. Had a craving for steak and I can tell you, it was satisfied tonight! From the moment I walked in and was greeted and seated, I knew it was going to be a great dinner. My server Sara was amazing. She is on top of her game. Watched her run around serving the entire bar area drinks and food and not missing a beat. Lots of happy people enjoying the food and drinks. My steak…..okay so I do steak. I make a mean steak. Well so does Anthony! I wasn’t in the mood for the 14oz Ribeye so I asked for a cut of the Prime Rib to be grilled based on a recommendation from Sara. BOOM! Was so good. My Gin and Tonic was super tasty and made the way I love it. Cucumber with Hendricks and quality tonic. Highly recommend. I’ll be back!

I got the fish with truffle oil, I'd rate it 5/10. My gf got the steak (8oz) cooked in charcoal and she rates it 4/10. Steak and stein steak is better. Place is really nice though and food is reasonably priced for a downtown restaurant. You just have to find parking.

Exceptional food, service, and energy. A little piece of nostalgia parked in the downtown core. Couldn't be happier with the experience. Great food, laughs and wine. Presentation, hosting and waitstaff were impeccable. Absolutely would return without reservation. Thank you for the wonderful experience and for catering to our requests :)

Service was good. 3 out of four meals ordered by our group were awesome… but the kicker was when we were done our meal, a mouse ran across the dining room floor. When we told one staff about the mouse, they did not appear surprised and then all other staff were pretty much avoiding us as we were leaving… one staff apologized.

Anytime I'm in the downtown area, this is the place I usually go to for some great food, or to have a drink with friends in a clean, welcoming environment. Food is always great, and the service is even better! Great place to be when out, and reasonable prices with a 5 star feeling that anyone can go enjoy.

It's was good, as usual. Though our server seemed distracted and having a difficult time juggling the 4 tables they were working.Also, not sure if the Cauliflower rice and fish I got was supposed to be warm/cold but it was good either way.

Server was amazing, polite preffesional and very approachable. The ribs were amazingly tender. I was not really a fan of the BBQ sauce but they were great. The fries were cold would be my only real complaint.The club sandwich my partner had was extremely delicious.Would go ahead for sure.. mostly because of our server being so great.

Server was incredible. She brought water constantly… we kept her busy!! Checked in so many times, to make sure everything was great. The food…. Wow! We had chicken, steak, ribs, appetizers, soup…. Everything was outstanding!! 100% recommend and would definitely come back!!

The Jalapeno Melt burger at Bâton Rouge is a must-try! The burger is perfectly cooked and the combination of jalapeno and melted cheese gives it a delicious kick. Overall, Bâton Rouge is a fantastic restaurant with great food and service. Highly recommended!
