My daughter has been in the French Immersion stream up to the end of Grade 6, and had to change to the English stream for Grade 7. She needed a great deal of improvement in vocabulary, writing and reading. Eve and the staff at the Mindspring Centre have been outstanding at guiding and teaching her, as well as building her confidence and critical thinking. She recently read me a debate piece she put together for school with no help, and I was absolutely blown away with the quality of her work. Additionally, Eve has been incredibly supportive, attentive and considerate of the personal development of my daughter - I could not be happier that she has had the chance to experience such a quality teacher. I cannot recommend Eve and the Centre enough.

When I was searching for educational support for my oldest son in 2012, Eve Crawford came highly recommended. Eve did not disappoint. Today, our two sons, aged 15 and 11, visit Mindspring weekly. Eve has been a great support to both our son and ourselves. Eve was recommended to us when our son was struggling with reading. She is incredibly knowledgeable and always provides sound advice and guidance. We have seen significant improvement in our son's reading skills and as a result have worked with Eve to support his development in other areas. Our son has a great relationship with Eve. She is warm, but firm and has a great way of building rapport. We are thankful for all of the support Eve has provided.

We feel so lucky to have been referred to Eve as her impact on my son was immediate. In the few months we have known her, she has inspired my child to become a better student and has diligently worked to build a foundation for future success. His writing and language skills have improved so much that his school teacher recently told me it's though he is a different student when compared to the start of the year. My son is more confident now and enjoys school. I believe Eve has been so successful because she goes back to fundamentals. Eve is not a tutor, she is an educator. She expects her students to show up prepared and focused. And when my son fails to meet her expectations, she immediately lets me know. We are so happy to have found Mindspring and Eve. Eve is warm, intuitive and has a great understanding of kids. My daughter has been working with Eve for the past year and a half to enrich her reading and writing skills. Eve finds strategic and creative ways to keep her engaged (like writing a fan letters to her favourite singer or writing reviews). Eve has been tutoring my teenage daughter for almost 6 months now and there has been a tremendous and very visible improvement in my daughter's writing skills and also in her confidence at school. What a difference a good tutor makes!We had been trying several tutoring services for our son before we meet Eve. We tried Oxford Learning among the others and we found that going by the program or book" is not the right approach. Every student is unique and different. Eve helped my son prepare for Middle SSAT which led to an amazing 2000+ score. We were extremely pleased with Eve’s guidance and effective instructions, and the generous communication with parents throughout the process. My two children (grades 6 and 8) have been supported by the amazing tutoring at Mindspring Centre for Higher Learning for more than two years. My daughter initially started attending to prep to write the SSAT. However, once that passed, she has opted to stay with Eve and her incredible tutors. She's moved from being a semi-serious B level student, to an A student with incredible confidence. She's now been admitted into an IB program and plans to attend throughout high school to keep up the support and learning. Eve has been a vital support in this success.My son started attending because I felt he really needed additional support. He would rather be playing hockey or baseball. However, Eve and her tutors have been able to connect with my son. His confidence and marks are headed in the right direction. He too feels that he should go for one more year (which I'll take from my child who doesn't love school).This centre has helped my two very different children.
