The restaurant charges a tip automatically in your bill which is fine with me. However, when you go pay with your card, they prompt you to tip more. Many customers as a result end up double tipping. This is not honest policy. They should not have the option to double tip if they have already charged you a tip. The prices are average and the food is pretty average also. They don't use filtered water but tap water. Seating is comfortable and the people who work there are friendly. If it wasn't for the dishonest payment machines prompting double tip they might get three or four stars

I’ve always ordered from here on UberEats. I decided to visit this place in person this time, I ordered whatever you see in the pictures.The food was super fresh and really tasty. The ambiance is nice and the servers were friendly.We had Bombay chicken, Chilli chicken, Chicken corn soup, Chicken pakoras, and Schezuan fried rice. Everything was perfect and hit the spot!!I would definitely visit again and I recommend this place for the food.However one loss in star for the service:-When we had to ask for condiments for the soup like soy and green chillies we only got the latter. (small details go a long way!)-Had to grab servers attention every time we needed something.- Every time we asked for napkins they would give 2 or 3 only, the food is spicy and when you ask the second time you would guess they’d get the idea that hey we’d be needing more than 3 napkins as a family of 3. Just give us more lol.

Hakka and Thai is definitely an interesting fusion. The balance of sweet, spicy, salty, and savory was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant was very clean. The seating was spacious and comfortable. The service was outstanding as recommendations were spot on and they checked up on us frequently. Kitchen was fast and efficient as we didn't have to wait long for our huge spread.

Located conveniently in a plaza off Main street stouffville. Tons of parking. Restaurant is farely new. Spacious and clean. Been here a few times and i enjoy it when i am craving asian food.I definitely prefer their Hakka food over Thai. Our go to are usually the pakora, manchurian rice or noodles and their garlic fish.This time we tried their chicken marsala curry and I didn't like it at all. It was bland and lacked spice and flavours. The eggplant was good, but it was overly salted. I think next time if I remember, I'd tell them to go easy on the salt.Their service is great, which makes up for the experience. They're quick to order and always checking to see if everything is okay.Overall, I enjoy The Zen and I would recommend if you're in for some Asian food.

We tried this Hakka restaurant for the first time and found a wide selection of items on their menu. We decided to order chili chicken and pad Thai. Chili chicken tasted average however more like Chinese soya sauce chicken with a hint of spice. It didn’t come with rice which was surprising as it is typically included at other Hakka restaurants. The pad Thai was awful to say the least. We received bright orange noodles that was extremely sweet and tasted like it was made with store bought pad thai sauce from the grocery store.

Very glad that an Asian restaurant opened in Stouffville and offers an extreme variety of Thai and Asian food. I also really like how each dish is customizable with its protein options (chicken, beef, shrimp or none, to make it vegetarian). The dishes aren't overly salty or oily, which are great benefits. The portion size is generous. I ordered the family meal for 5 people plus 1 extra noodle dish on the side and it came to a total of $102.80 after tax. The downside to this place is that the prices are not available online nor can you order online with them. I'm intrigued to try other dishes.

Love their pad thai, it says spicy but you should ask for spicy, because I didn't ask and it wasn't spicy but flavour was there. Lots of chicken and so filling. The peanut chicken wasn't what I thought, it was battered instead of saucy, but I liked the change, definitely would try other items on their menu next time.

Their food is good but only problem I had they charge you extra . I didn’t understand their policy. I ordered veg dumplings. My total was $12.35 after tax. But if you pay by debit they charge you 50 cents extra . That made me think twice before going there.

My partner and I drove from markham to try this place. We definitely think it was worth the drive. The food tasted really fresh and satisfying. The veg manchurian momos and mango salad were my top fav! The inside ambiance was nice with friendly staff. I highly recommend. 10/10

Ate here for the third time and consistently good food. Had the dinner specials tonight x 3. Crispy ginger beef, chilli fish, and Bombay chicken, with white rice, egg fried rice and Hakka noodles.Food came quick and fresh. Good quantity for 4 people. Good pricing too. Nice clean place and never feels overcrowded.Becoming a staple for us.
