Travelodge by Wyndham Winnipeg

Don't be fooled by the online photos of this Travelodge. It's an absolute dump. We arrived in the evening before our early flight. I checked our sheets and there was black hair all over them, I went to the front counter and asked for clean sheets at 11pm, there were 2 men behind the counter and I got told it would be a 45min wait. I knew it wasn't going to be the best place, but I assumed that with having a TRAVELODGE name attached to it, it might be clean.

This was honestly probably the grossest place I've ever tried to sleep at got there at 11 am from the airport go to my room and it was disgusting. Looked like someone kicked in my door. Slumlord paint job. Sheets where stained. I slept on to of the plankets in my clothes because I was too scared to open any of my luggage.

The other reviews are not lying, there is constant noise in the halls and the whole place is dirty like beyond cheap hotel level, many stains on the walls and a large amount of hair on the floors of the rooms. My coworker was in the room next door and woke up to cockroaches in his room at 2am he also had a dirty crusty towel in his bathroom. We checked out and left but it was very disappointing shocked that this hotel is allowed to stay open.

Disgusting and unsafe environment. Room was worn down. Door didn't lock properly. Rips in my curtains that let in light all night. Dingy furniture. Homeless people hanging around all night. Loud and woke to bites on my legs. This hotel needs to be closed due to unsanitary and unsafe procedures. The maids use shopping carts to store the clean laundry in. The sheets on both beds had stains. Fire alarm went off 3 times.

Waste of money thankfully got a refund for my stay as My partner and I woke up to bed bugs. Lady at the front desk didn’t even seem surprised about the bugs. Hot tubs don’t work. No way to turn down the heat in the room. Fridge in the room barley worked. There is a charge for use of the Ice machine. People yelling in the halls all night. Only stayed at this travel lodge because the other ones in the city were booked up.

I would give a -5 stars if I could. They had cockroaches in my room.The room looked very clean and bedding was fresh. You can see a lot of effort was put into fixing up the rooms. I liked that they removed the carpet in the room. However, I bailed when I saw roaches scuttle across the floor, and into the baseboards.Guest service cooperated and didn't make a fuss about my cancelation. They need to fumigate the hotel. Also looked like there are a few other businesses on site; lottery sales & an arcade gaming machine at the desk, restaurant in basement and a nightclub on the side.I prefer somewhere quiet and bug free. I decided to leave, pay a little more and got myself into a Super 8. I refuse to take home roaches in my suitcase!

SCARY, do not stay here Warned by someone else when we arrived to the hotel that they got bed bugs and that someone’s car got broken into the night before. Room was dirty and the halls where EVEN MORE DIRTY. didn’t feel safe and left with in 5 mins of arriving. Also people staying there where extremely sketchy and the area in general just didn’t feel safe

Guy Behind the Counter was amazing. We booked online in the morning and when we got there in the evening he gave us like 15% off because our original price seemed high to him. I didn't even have to ask for a discount, I was willing to pay the original amount because that's what I had agreed to on the reservation. But he was super kind and gave us a better deal! Regret not asking for his name. Thank You!

Well staying here was kind of horrible. People were loud in the halls, the Pool was extremely cool so it wasn’t a heated pool and the hot tub didn’t work and shortly after I got out of the pool I broke out and I never break out while swimming in hotel pools! The bathroom was nasty munch of gunk all over the walls that kind of look like mold the microwave was busted and the toilet was lopsided this was the worse hotel IThink I’ve ever stayed at they need to remodel it and fix it
