Dr. Rajasekar Basker

Dr Basker is BY FAR the BEST psychiatrist I have ever had. I’ve cycled through so many of them over the course of my life, he is compassionate, he is thorough, he is cautious about overprescribing meds… how did I get so lucky? I am forever grateful to him and his team. I would not be the person I am without his help. Truly blessed to have him as a psychiatrist. I have been seeing him for the last couple years and he is by far one of the best things that ever happened to me. Also shout out to his secretary she is a gem!

Helpful and compassionate

Phone is not answered a lot. Like it takes forever to actually get an appointment from the doctor he is okay but good luck getting to him look somewhere else if you are looking for reliability.

Dr. Basker is a remarkable psychiatrist. He is patient, personable, and shows true concern for the welfare of his clients. I’ve seen Dr. Basker for almost a year and I can say he has really helped me along my journey; I'm really pleased with him. This doctor is ultra-busy but that doesn't interfere with the quality of care he provides. One time I needed something from him that was semi-urgent. He called me on a Saturday evening to work on my request. What doctor does that? I thought. I was blown away. I have certainly benefitted from the care I have received from this fine and caring physician. Besides, he seems like a really chilled guy. He doesn't talk down to you and that makes it a whole lot easier to open up and be comfortable talking about your issues.About his team: The assistant doctors that call to check on you listen with compassion and offer their own experience and expertise. They seem to truly care about how you are feeling, as opposed to just do their job" of asking questions. This goes a long ways in terms of quality of care.Shelly

I have been a patient of Dr. Basker's for a little over a year now. I was referred to him by my family doctor during covid. During quarantine and lock downs I only spoke with him , and his staff over the phone. They were always kind, compassionate and professional. Dr. Basker's secretary Shelly was always polite, friendly and efficient whenever I needed my prescription faxed to the pharmacy. Today I had my first in person appointment. I was happy to finally put the friendly smiles with the voices I spoke with daily over the phone. Thank you Shelly and Dr. Basker for you're professionalism. Kindness goes a long way.

Dr. Basker was the worst Doctor. He has a God like complex. Didn’t want to listen to the valued opinion of people who had direct connection to the situation. He kept saying that he was Chief of Psychiatry, and didn’t have time for our son. When I questioned his ability to take better care of my son. He became quiet agitated and insulted. He dropped my son as a patient. My son became worse and had a bad set back. Please keep your loved ones away from him. He DOES NOT LISTEN BECAUSE he knows BEST!! He forgot the hypocratic oath. Shame on him!!! I reported him to the College of Physicians. Btw his secretary was just as rude and condescending. No compassion. They deserve each other. Stay clear of Dr. Basker.

I have been seeing Dr. Basker for the last 9 years. He has always made me feel comfortable expressing my concerns and offers great solutions. His staff is always pleasant and inviting. I highly recommend him for your mental health needs.

I thank God everyday, for bringing my family to this wonderful physician. Amazing.
