The kimchi I bought from them went moldy with in like a month and I should have like 3 more months untill the date of expiry. I made sure to use clean utensils and I know it isn't yeast build up because it is fluffy.I Know for a fact that properly made kimchi should never go moldy unless it isn't fully submerged or it has been contaminated with other harmful bacterias. I'd assume they were made in a sterile environment so they most likely just need to be fully submerged.Either way, should be a pretty simple fix.Make sure the kimchi you sell are fully submerged.

Great staff, always has things I need that I can't find anywhere else. It may be a korean store but my Japanese grandmother always sent us here for groceries. Prices are a little higher than Luckys or other bigger asian groceries but its location is super convenient for those in saint james. Their short life produce like green onions and bean sprouts are always way fresher and much better looking than anything you can get at Safeway or superstore.

Most of the Asian aisles in places like Walmart, and Superstore seem to be only catering to the East Indian and Philipino cuisines. Arirang however, caters to Korean and Japanese foods. This is awesome!While their prices are obviously slightly above" that of the bigger stores

The best Korean market in town, friendly family owned store. Has a wide selection of Korean food, I always go there to restock on my wide variety of kimchi, other Korean side dishes, seaweed, snack, Korean ice cream etc. Love this place!
