Falafel Freiha
The best authentic Lebanese Falafel in Quebec. Yet, the rudest elderly ever. Still a must go to place for falafel. Get in, order, don't talk much if you don't want to encounter any rudness. Honestly i don't understand why that couple are not friendly with the customers, age is not a reason to be rude. I will keep going for their tasty falafel though. The place is not very clean or neat and it's been open in service for a long time now. They serve only falafel (as a sandwich or in a plate without bread) and you can take away or sit and eat in.Payment is in cash only, no debit or credit.

Really good falafel sandwich and very reasonable price (5$/ea). Didn't have time to check out the other items.

Visited this place for the first time, one of if not the best falafel i've ever had. They make it the same way as my great grand parents used to make.Homemade style made freshly in front of you.

My god the lady at the cash is very arrogant! I would give them 0 for their professionalism! I walked in and left after not even 1 min just because of her attitude! There's no menu, I asked a few questions about what are the options for the sandwich and what you put inside and she gave a look with attitude like as if I was asking too many questions! I would never go eat there ever!

It's the best falafel. However, the owners never smile to customers, and they are always in a bad mood. Not friendly at all. Be aware that they always tries to not give you back your change back.

I wanted to visit this restaurant for months, but it is far from my home and getting there with public transit is really difficult. Finally today I made it. Their falafel is so good. I am from the Middle East and I have tried many falafel restaurants in the last 9 years between the US and Canada. This is definitely one of the best. God bless the lady and the gentleman who are running it.*They only accept cash*

Best falafel you can get. Absolutely delicious and authentic. The falafel is perfectly prepared. A nice crunchy crust from the outside and a wonderful moist and soft inside. The sandwich is my favourite. You can have a couple on the side to eat alone. Just writing the review is making me want to jump in the car and get a sandwich!

This place is kind of hole in the wall. You wouldn't really give it a second glance if passing by on the street. You sort of have to be lead there, and convinced to give it a try.The food is really delicious, and the best falafel I have tried in Montreal. Freshly fried, with lots of delicious veggies and proper tahini sauce, it's really a freaking amazing sandwich. Now most of these 'bad' reviews here have to do with the owners, who are an elderly husband and wife duo. It's really unpredictable in how you will be received! You might catch them on a good day, or you might catch them on a day they just quarreled. I can see how people can be put off by them, as they can be quite rude sometimes. That's why I call them the Falafel Nazis. It's quite fun to sit and ponder their scenario while munching on the delicious falafel! It's even funner since I look like I don't understand Arabic :)I've heard many stories about this little restaurant, and it's unpredictable owners. This is the one that I believe the most:The story is that this couple had to move to Canada during the Lebanese Civil war in the 80's, and have resented it ever since - as they had a very prosperous brand/business back home (probably worth millions now), which they had to leave because of the turmoil that war brings. So they came to Canada and did what they did best: Falafel! In my opinion, this restaurant should have prospered more than what it is, as their Falafel recipe is extremely delicious. I would have definitely franchised it by now! There is a Falafel Frieha brand currently in Beirut (not sure who runs it though - as I saw a branch across from ABC Ashrafieh) and it is quite popular and known! Maybe someone took over their name?Their food is really good tho. You won't find better. A dream come true for all you vegetarians and vegans! As long as you're okay with dealing with the Falafel Nazis*!* Reference to the soup nazi in Seinfeld, incase anyone got offended!
