Brooks Farms

I took a group of kids here for a field trip so this review is theirs. They really loved being able to pet and feed the animals (and I loved how we had to walk a bit to get to the next animal pen). The parks were also a huge hit as they were pretty large and had many things you don’t see at normal public parks. They also enjoyed the tractor ride and said it was one of their favourite parts. Unfortunately however, one of the chicken puppets at the chicken show was just an empty robot frame as the chicken puppet fell off. That freaked the kids out a bit. They were also a bit disappointed about how small the splash pad was and how long it took for the water to turn on after it turned off. We still had an amazing time though and will for sure be back soon!

The best event centre for children’s birthday party!!! I would strongly recommend it!! Melinda was professional, courteous, efficient with detail & thoughtful. Her staff were most helpful & very respectful. The barn yard was very clean & spacious. The play area spectacular!! Food was very tasty & delicious!! It was a memorable milestone first birthday celebration for my first granddaughter!! Huge thank you job well done Melinda!!! Gladly would go back for further family events!!!

Lovely farm! They have lots of fun activities for kids and adults. They also have a wonderful shop with many unique decoration items, tasty pies, and the friendliest staff working in it. There is plenty of parking space in front of the main door you can use. Almost everything is reasonably priced there. So recommended!

We love this farm. It’s really great for little kids. It’s fun for bigger kids as well but I think the little kids have the most to do. There is a train ride, corn maze, zip line, shows, apple picking, sand boxes, jumpers, pumpkin cannons etc. we go every year and stay for 3-4 hours. My Son is 6 and he loves it. Side note, this year was the first year we’ve eaten the food and the portions were shareable and the gar-par fries were great! Last year we attended the Halloween spooky night they have throughout October and my Son loved it! It’s a bit spooky but not too scary. The kids dress up and trick or treat and it’s fun without being overly scary. Overall this is a great family fun experience in the fall and the market is great too. Lots of pumpkins and pies and treats.

Overall, great place for both kids and adults. Kids loved the bouncy place and the other play stuff, the petting zoo and all. Had the poutine and it was good, though service was slow. The surrounding areas were beautiful, with apple/sunflower/pumpkin farms. Cherry on top was the special Halloween themed part of the farm filled with scary props and huts and camp fires and all - it’s a pretty big place. I regretted going there at 3 pm because when getting out after 6, the costumed zombies and witches were getting ready to start their acts which goes on till 8 I guess. Would be great to come back and enjoy the after dark stuff.

Came here for strawberry picking and loved it! I really appreciate how you can pick everything at the farm with one basket. The strawberries are delicious and the peas are so fresh! We were a little too late to the raspberry pickings so they're very tartBasket prices are: 5, 10, 20, 30

Went for strawberry picking. We came in just at 5 but then got to speak to a staff member a few minutes after 5, and they were kind to let us in! Thank you staff! However, we were over charged a dollar for each small quart basket ($6) each we were charged when the label said $5 a basket. (Pretty good price) When we found out the price difference, a wonderful cashier helped us sort it out and returned the difference.There were lots of strawberries! Many big one's actually, I was surprised! Strawberries at each plant!My only concern is that on the way driving there, I noticed some big machines at nearby farms and it looked like it was to spray pesticides or something, maybe that went over to this farm too? Not sure the farming practices....also, while there were tons and tons of strawberries, many of the strawberry leaves were looking pretty pale green and veiny ...they didn't look too healthy so it makes me wonder why. Perhaps dry weather? Something with the soil? Anyways, thanks Brook's Farm!
