Elegant Blinds

We recently moved into our new home in Oakville and were looking for a solution for our window coverings for our whole house including a 16 feet tall window in the front of the house. We researched about various products but were undecided on the benefits vs. pricing. The team at Elegant Blinds & Shutters helped us work through various options patiently with good recommendations keeping our design style in mind. We ended up getting Hunter Douglas Silhouette blinds for our main floor and California Vinyl Shutters for the bedrooms as well as washrooms. I have had the worst experience in dealing with this retailer. I will put my experience in point form so it's easier to read;1.Owner quick to take your deposit(June 20,2020)2. Got a deadline for 3 weeks (Today is September 1st, 2020).3. NO phone call whatsoever. I have to call to get updates.4. Owner didn't pick my calls for a 3 weeks and had to use a new line to call for him to pick up. He said his phone broke(how ironic). AND he is waiting for an installer. As a dealer is your job is to get service to the customer on agreed deadline and no decency to call to give update but customer had to rather chase you.*Had guest into my house with no shutters on Canada's day and Covid holiday and now we approaching labour day.5. Again go to a reputable dealer for your blinds or shutters and AVOID this place.As of today I'm still waiting for my shutters to be installed and I will provide update of the quality once it gets installed...

Upon reading the reviews I was a bit weary using elegant blinds. My co-worker had his done 5 years ago and referred me to them, he said they did a good job.. I went ahead and used them, they installed all my windows with eclipse brand shutters. The guy who installed was very nice, and professional. When he was done he made sure he cleaned up all his mess. The end results were fantastic. I'm very happy with my windows.

****THIS BUSINESS IS TOTAL FRAUD**** DO NOT TRUST THE OWNER AT ALLWe made a big mistake by not checking the reviews prior doing business with this place. The Owner’s name is GAJINDER UPPAL and he is a big fraud. He makes big false promises regarding the quality and workmanship but at the end it is zero. He installed a very cheap quality material for our blinds which was totally different then what he showed us at his showroom. DO NOT trust this guy. The guy who he hired as his installer didn’t showed up on the scheduled time and showed up next day after making couple of calls and made stupid excuses. The valances he got installed were not made for our blinds and makes noise while in operation. It looks like he brings in the ready made stuff from China and resizes it as per the customer order. He charged us big amount claiming that these are going to be custom made. After contacting him he promised us that he will be changing all of the valances to match our blinds. It is more than 2 months now since this was installed and he is always making excuses when contacted. We have contacted him several times over the phone and also sent text messages and I also have his replies in text which shows the proof that he is making false excuses.Can someone help us to guide further to what legal actions can be taken against the owner so that we can either get our work done or get back the refund.

Looks like it's an illegitimate business, not answering the phone with a professional name of company just hello like it's a cell phone. During normal working hours or was closed when I called to try and find where the location is exactly. Sounds like it's probably not registered as a business and from the reviews looks extremely unprofessional, untrustworthy, basically a legitimate and there is no way you can give money to a place that doesn't have normal decent courteous service, but it's just simply listed in Google. What a waste of time in trying to do business with them. I will take my business to professionals. It looks like their job would have been just a reflection of a bad company"."
