Dr Erin Brown

In 2017, Dr Erin Brown and I met in VGH ten minutes before surgery. Miffed, and irritated because when looking at my chart (minutes before surgery), he noted that it was a break from weeks previous (scaphoid bone). Well what do you expect me to do with this? He barked at me. Not much of a bedside manner.I explained that I thought it was just a sprain and that when I returned to Vancouver, I went to Emergency because of the pain. I attempted to book with the Hand Clinic but more than one week of waiting was required. The woman on the phone recommended that I go to Emergency. I did. The compassionate doctor in Emergency applied a cast- 8 hours later and secured a surgery date for me ).Dr. Brown was visibly annoyed that I had not followed protocol" that is make an appointment with the Hand Clinic first

Dr Brown did reconstructive surgery on my shoulder after a tumor was removed. He was wonderful, patient and my shoulder works well. Great Doc!

Dr. Brown is always prompt, caring and knowledgeable.

I have had two carpal tunnel surgeries and two hand surgeries and found Dr Brown to be very professional kind and gentle and would to anyone. The operations gave me the use of my hands and fingers back to almost normal.Robert Hughes
