Front door staff are rude and not truthful.

I came here to visit family not knowing that I was at the wrong place. The woman at the front desk was so rude to me saying that there is no person here with such a name ect..she shouldn't be allowed to work at front desk she treated me like I was some criminal so rude! She really needs to be fired!

Horrible, just awful place for loved ones. They broke her hip and instead of calling an ambulance they kept moving her from chair to bed. I have photos….

Terrible place. The staff lacks training. The administration doesn't care about feedback. The residents are left to sit in front of the television in common areas for hours. Many residents in the lower floor are restrained when other means of managing behaviours can be used. The staff does not speak any French so if a resident does not speak English they cannot communicate with the staff. Some of the staff including housekeeping is rude and inconsiderate towards the frail elderly. Response to residents calling out is very long and I witnessed interventions that did not resolve the issues observed. I think their main focus is making money and not the quality of life and wellbeing of the residents. The semi-private rooms have no curtains to ensure privacy and dignity. I can't understand how the government can send elderly people who are in the public system waiting for a bed in a CHSLD, to this place. It does not meet the standards of care. Please do not send your loved ones here!

Great staff that offers a variety of activities. Due to the fact that its a smaller facility there isn't a lot of space but they make due with the space they have and make you feel at home. Friendly staff and attentive!

Excellent service to patients with smiling and very competent staff. My Mother has been taken care of in this home and the whole team has been listening to our needs. Very Clean +++

The most unprofessional group of staff I have ever done business with. Disgusting and rude, do yourself a favor and do not give them your money.

They sell you this great place, but when you get there it is a different story. The staff doesn't care. I once watched a woman call for help for 45 minutes and the nurses aid told her to wait. In that time I heard her yell I'm in pain"

I had a great time with my dad here, it might be a small place but they still find ways to keep the residents entertained and active. I can’t complain. There isn’t much space for much activity as other people might want, but they use what they have to do what they can.

They were terrific with my parents, and genuinely cared about them. Every CHSLD has flaws but this one has less of them. It’s small, homey, super clean, and well-organized. Caregiving work can be back- and heart-breaking, but WIM people actually care. My mother’s dementia and personality disorder made her hard to deal with but staff saw right through to her kind side far better than Selection staff before them. A CHSLD is not a luxury hotel and those that imagine it is and demand luxury service are deluding themselves about what experience they’re signing their parents up for. It’s half-hospital, half-hospice. WIM employees cried with me when my parents passed away. This is the best and most human of the West Island CHSLDs if you are prepared for the human situations of healthcare. Thank you WIM and I am still so glad I chose you for my parents’ care.
