Smart Little Children

When I started to look at daycares, I researched them all and toured 6-8 of them in Oakville. SLC stood out from the rest and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. My daughter has been there from toddler through to pre-school. Valentyna runs a tight ship. Super clean, great teachers, very communicative, understanding. She takes the time with all the parents and actually knows every single child's name. My daughter loves going every day, never a hassle. And for when I was commuting to Toronto, it's conveniently located across from Bronte GO station. A very supportive and positive environment for the kids. Highly recommend.

My son has been attending SLC daycare centre for 2 years and absolutely loves it, the teachers are friendly and run great learning activities daily in each group my son attended. Will deffinitely use this daycare with my second child.

The most attentive, caring, organize, and easy going daycare. All staffs are happy and cheerful everyday, and always there to answer your questions. Our kids bring home amazing beautiful art and crafts. Around the holidays the art and craft are super adorable. We love and cherished all pictures days at this daycare. Both our sons love it here. The teachers are all very personal and kept our kids well fed even during non meals time as one of our son live to eat. The foods here are good according to our toddlers.

You are in good hands with SLC! The teachers are among the best - they were instrumental in making our 11 month old feel happy coming to daycare every morning. The staff is also very interactive and provides detailed reports about your child's day. We especially loved the artwork they helped children create regularly. The facilities are clean and the center's location is convenient for GO trainers.

All 3 of our kids have gone to SLC, with our first starting 10 years ago. To say we have been happy with our experience would be an understatement!Valentyna, the owner, is very nice and you can tell she truly loves the kids. She knows every child by name, she knows what they like and what they do as she is an active presence throughout the centre. My kids always loved stopping by her office for stickers, a visit with the resident turtle and a hug. Not only is she lovely, but if there are any issues, she will listen to your concerns and rectify the matter. I loved how receptive she was to my feedback and has the same high standards that we do.Our son had numerous food sensitivities and they accommodated all of our requests. They have a catering company that brings the food in, and they were able to provide alternative options for our son that were still the same quality and type of meal as what the other kids were getting. Other centres either asked us to bring in food that we prepared or the raw ingredients to accommodate his diet, or providing really sub-par alternatives, all with no reduction in fees. SLC didn’t charge me extra for these accommodations even though at that time, our son was the only one with these types of dietary needs.Our kids have had some of the same teachers over our 10 year span – the fact that they retain their staff speaks volumes about the quality of the centre! The teachers truly do care about the kids. Michelle, Vanessa, Malou, Inna and Audrey are standouts and superstars for us, but we have been happy with almost all of our teachers throughout our 10 year tenure. When we weren't happy with a teacher, Val would address any of our concerns and fix the problem.Our kids received report cards throughout the year to show us how they were progressing. There would be photo sessions with an excellent professional photographer who is fabulous with the kids a couple times a year. In the summer, they went on field trips. Prior to COVID they had external instructors come in to teach music and physical education, and they learned a little bit of French too. I have friends that are jealous of these extra value perks and wish their daycares did the same.Val and her staff have had a huge part in helping our children to be smart, independent kids. We believe that their experience at SLC helped them seamlessly transition to kindergarten, with a running start even. We will always have fond memories of the daycare and will be forever grateful to them.

A hidden gem in Oakville! We've first hand experienced the after-care program and the toddler room. We’re so pleased with the staff and with the director- Valentyna. The daycare is always clean and the staff are welcoming.The kids love it here. The environment is exciting, lots of positive energy, collaborative, and feels like a family. Would highly recommend.

My daughter went here for a year since we moved in the neighborhood. Having been to other after-school programs, hats off to SLC so far the best. 1. Very caring to kids and very accomodating 2. Cleanliness is A-one, 3. Have great programs to engage kids. God bless them.

From infant room all the way to pre-school room, my daughter seemed to love every second of it. Amazing teachers, amazing staff, and Valentyna - who is always kind and attentive. They also nailed the changes related to Covid, always making us feel so safe. Convenient location as well, very close to Bronte station. Is recommend this place to other moms in a heartbeat.

My twins attended Smart Little Children and all I can say is good things. Val cares about the kids and is very accommodating with the parents. Overall a great experience. Highly recommended...
