1) Wasn't very friendly2) Was never on time3) Overcharged us for barely any work4) Was difficult to get in touch with / took forever to call us backThe experience started off great, but quickly went south. We had scheduled the installation guys (who were great) to help us with another service, when our AC broke. We called Joe a week before our scheduled appointment to ask that if while they're here they could take a look at our unit to see if it's fixable, or if we need to replace it and he said absolutely. While the installers were waiting for our water heater to drain, they took a look at the AC unit (for approximately 10 minutes) and informed us that they would need to come back with the proper tools to do a full diagnostic. They charged us an hours labour, and an ADDITIONAL call out fee of $100. So for 10 MINUTES of extra work (while they were already here standing around waiting in our driveway) we were charged an extra $200!! The majority of their time was spent waiting around for their boss to call them back because the installers had asked if they could waive the call out fee...since they were already here!... which was declined.Paying the additional labour wouldn't have been so bad, but to pay the extra call out fee when you were already here, and didn't even bring the right tools (though we asked you a week in advance) is just plain ridiculous, and bad business. I would not recommend Joe, or Spectrum for any project that you have. There are many other small business out there, that would be happy to do the job and not rip you off.I can't say enough negative things about this experience, so I will leave it with that. I'd HIGHLY recommend Cushing Heating & Air out of Fergus Ontario for any needs that you might have.

It was great dealing with Joe. He was very prompt in coming to see what the problem was and finding a solution. I will definitely use Spectrum again, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing heating and air conditioning help.

Spectrum Energy was a joy to work with for the repair of our pool heater. Not only did they take our initial call promptly, but they had the problem effectively diagnosed and repaired within two days. As well, they did so, just in time for the Canada Day weekend, thereby enabling us to use our pool for the long weekend. Work was done efficiently, effectively, and with great knowledge and skill. We HIGHLY recommend Spectrum Energy and, in fact, have already passed along their contact information to two homeowners in the area.

Great team! Hot water tank in my business started leaking after 16yrs, it was in the ceiling. Joe came out right away and stopped it from leaking, then set us up with an on demand unit at a great price. Couple days later I thought it wasn’t working properly they popped by and had it sorted. I was embarrassed because it turned out to be a hose I was using. Highly recommend

Poor and pathetic way of running a business. From the start, they did not outline their charges. The technician had not worked on the unit I had and constantly was on the call asking his boss to tell him what to do. After all of that time wasted and me billed for it, he told me it's a faulty part and replaced that in the next visit, costing me a fortune overall. Only to find out that it did absolutely nothing to solve the issue that I was having with my water heater. I call them back and they come back and tell me it's another part that's faulty. And they'd replace that. They charged me for a misdiagnosis, replacing an already working part with a new one and not solving any part of my water heater issue.When I called back after the whole debacle to provide feedback and express my disappointment, the owner says it is how it is but I'll call you back with a solution and the call never came. It has been 4 weeks and more than $500 that I have spent only to have my issue being the same as it is and me and my family being without any hot water, all thanks to extremely disappointing service provided by this team.I'd never trust them for anything again.

Joe and his team did a great job installing our new furnace, AC and water heater and running a new gas line for each of these. He carries top of the line equipment and the price was fair in comparison to other quotes we received. He went above and beyond to protect our new equipment from flooding by raising them off the ground on metal risers. During the process he was very responsive by text and email. Everything is working well so far.

We have used Spectrum Energy for several jobs around our house in the past seven years. Pool Heater invaded by mice, laying new gas lines, new electrical connections for hot tub, new pool heater and pool pump installation, etc. Joe and Dan have done a great job troubleshooting our various problems and getting them fixed without the need to call in other contractors. Reasonably priced, they are a great one-stop shop for your Energy" needs. Would definitely continue to rely on them!"
