ZAB definitely knows how to roast. I've had 4 of their beans so far without being disappointed (as long as you know how to brew them)Their flagship shop also carries 2 beans on filter coffee to make you taste their roasting talents. They also offer refill stations for their beans so that you can bring your container there and refill to your preferred quantity.Don't expect good food though but the pastries there seemed fine"All in all

Great store. We are truly spoiled for choice with regards to roasters around beaubien metro!I would say the roasts from Zab fall a little darker than usual in the specialty range, however this is not in an unpleasant way.In fact it’s really re-opened my eyes towards the slightly more developed medium roast levels and I’ve had some very enjoyable shots at home.I also appreciate that their bags contain reasonable tasting notes and nothing totally insane. If you’re tired of being told to taste some kind of fruit varietal you’ve never encountered before, or a specific chocolate bar that doesn’t contain any coffee, I think you’ll enjoy the buying experience here.Additionally, the in-store experience was extremely warm and welcoming.

After seeing their beans around town I decided to pay a visit to their cafe. Not disappointed - the service was great, they had an interesting selection of espresso dialled in, and their staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. A good feature: they have coffee (in bulk) available for purchase and you can bring your own container or bag and purchase however much you need. They have several of their coffee varieties available for purchase in bulk or pre-packaged, along with a good selection of coffee brewing equipment. If you like coffee and have seen Zab’s beans around town, definitely stop in for a visit.

Very delicious cappuccino and chocolate chip cookie.Will be going back for more coffee and dessert in the near future. Maybe even grab a back of freshly roasted coffee.

Disappointed in their service and coffee. I asked the barista for a bag of light roasted coffee, they sold me a medium roast (Francisco & Blanca - Nicaragua) which was 4 weeks old, so 3 weeks past its peak. After dialing it in I find it to be over roasted and one dimensional; not much better than a bag of pre ground supermarket coffee. Granted, we're spoiled by all the options here in the city so I'll keep buying elsewhere.

Amazing experience went there last week for first time, super friendly staff, bought a bag and a cup to go, their coffee is delicious, had been eyeing the shop for a while as my longtime dentist is across the street, decided to pull the trigger, looking forward to my next visit!

Delicious Coffee & Coffee Caramel Noisette cookie.The service was great.!! and staff was so kind~~^^ She gave a Zab sticker to my daughter.But the place to sit was small & the chair was uncomfortable.However I will visit again!!
