Northland Kia

One of the worst service experiences I have had with a dealer. I decided when I moved to Alberta I was going to continue to bring my car to a dealership to get the maintenance done. I was going with the schedule from Kia. I live outside of the Calgary area and since there are not many dealers in Calgary it was always very inconvenient to get service. Each time I visited the dealer they tried to sell me extra services that were not on the Kia list. I had an issue with the sunroof. It would not close properly but it was intermittent. A quick Google search revealed many people having issues with it. They charged me to diagnose it and said I needed the sunroof maintenance done. That would be another $200. Why would a car that was less than 2 years old need this maintenance? Probably because they have an issue with them. The latest was while I was getting my winter tires switched out a local technician noticed one of the CV boots had a tear in it. I called the service department to ask if it was covered under warranty to avoid having to travel into the city if it wasn't. They told me that they would have to look at it for a fee to determine if its covered even though I was able to tell them the part that needed to be replaced.This dealer will not be getting any business from me again.If I could give zero stars I would

This has always been my go to places for oil changes and service! The staff are super friendly. I recently purchased a brand new car and Julian was super knowledgeable and has superb customer service. Julian was super personable and was able to help me find the best car for me! Never in my life did I think I could afford a brand new car at the bright age of 24, but Julian made this possible for me! I purchased my previous car from House of Cars and that was the biggest mistake I made. Had I known I could’ve gotten a much better car (at a lower interest rate) with Kia, I definitely would have done that instead. I’m writing this a month after I received my brand new 2023 Kia Seltos. And I am just as in love with it as I was when I first purchased it. Julian helped me work out a plan that was suitable for me. He took my situation into consideration and helped me out to the best of his ability. Absolutely would recommend Northland Kia to anyone who wants a car or even for service! I’ve never had an issue here and I’ve been going here the last 6 years (for service). The finance department was also extremely helpful as well. 10/10 would recommend!!!

I bought used car (Ford Fiesta 2012 SE) with very reasonable price compared to other dealerships Calgary. It was absolutely straightforward to understand used car buying process at this car dealership, Alex Abel; he was very helpful and answered all of my questions and requests (Engine Bay Cleanup, Car oil refill, winter tires, Carfax history and dashboard alarm system).Even after buying the car, he still response my questions kindly and provide me with wonderful after-sales service support.I’m satisfied with their customer service, and I highly recommend visit them if you have plan to buy used car or new car.

Went their for oil change at 1,40pm. Advisor Dan offered me other services too (fine, their job). I declined so he said that I can not get shuttle to home (SW 15 mins drive) but anywhere in NW is fine. At 2,15pm I requested to get a shuttle just 1.5 km away, he mentioned that my car would take only 20mins to be ready. He had no intent to offer me shuttle. I got my car at 3:50pm. Could have utilized my day better if shuttle was given. I understand it’s only oil change (just $140 business) but I was asking for a shuttle just 1.5 km away.

When we started looking for a car a week ago, we were dreading it…the last time we bought from a dealer (12 years ago) it was such a high pressure sales experience that the thought of doing that again churned my stomach. We went to three dealerships this time around and the salespeople at the first two really tried to pressure us into a sale and it was stressful. We walked in to Northland KIA expecting to receive the same treatment, but as soon as we sat down with Josh it was it was truly an enjoyable experience. He was polite and easy going, he listened to us, and that put us completely at ease. We didn’t feel pressured at all. We later met a few of the other staff and they were all the same - genuinely kind, polite, and made an effort to ensure we felt comfortable. Northland KIA’s emphasis on an providing an elevated customer experience really set them apart from the other dealerships we’d been to, and ultimately, that helped to cinch the sale for us. I would wholeheartedly recommend that anyone consider Northland KIA when looking to purchase a vehicle.

Northland Kia is the best in Calgary! I had such a smooth experience buying my first car at this dealership - shoutout to Matt who helped me pick a car, he was easy to get along with and was quickly available to answer my questions - thank you! And shoutout the managers and to Laurie who helped with the financial side of things, she was very patient and informative! Such a fantastic team.

Absolutely fantastic experience purchasing my new Stinger from Northland Kia. The sales people were all tied up when I popped in to inquire about the car so the Sales Manager, Vinh Tram, helped me out. He showed me the different finance and lease options and he even accompanied me on the test drive. Answered all my questions and there was zero pressure to buy right then, which I appreciated and found the exact opposite approach at other dealerships (glad I didn't buy from the other Kia stores). A few days later I purchased the car and took delivery. This car has more features than the Starship Enterprise and I am not a tech-savvy individual so of course I had some questions. Popped in again but the manager was off but then a salesman by the name of Ryan Daniels offered his expertise. Wow, I'm glad I met him. His wealth of knowledge and easy going attitude was the icing on the cake for this purchase. He offered his card and said call me if you have any other questions". A salesperson offering his help down the road even though this wasn't even his sale. Amazing customer service all around."

We were thrilled to pickup our Carnival couple weeks ago. Julian was awesome throughout the sales and pickup processes. Glad that it was just a short wait, our deposit was attached to a VIN#...instead of 1-3 years wait like some Japanese brands with no ideas when the van would come.
