R.SONG STUDIOS

I've been taking hoop classes here for over a year now. It's the most wonderful community - an inclusive, safe space for all. I'm always greeted with enthusiasm and leave with a huge smile on my face- I've felt that since day 1.The instructors are fantastic and thorough. I have no background in dance or aerials, and that has never mattered. My favourite class is L2 hoop on Monday nights - you'll learn a combo in each class and have guided instruction throughout. If you're travelling through and looking for a good drop in, or want to find a new community of thoughtful, artistic and inspiring folk, this is the place.

My first experience here and the owner was very rude and avoidant. He couldn't be bothered to say a simple hi when he saw me walk in. When you walk in you notice that the studio is very messy and disorganized and items are all over the place. I did a flexibility session but with how the studio is set up you can hardly see the instructor without snapping your neck. I was contemplating between the different studios in the city but seeing as this is how I was treated the first day, I wouldn't recommend to others.

Just had my first ever class of pole dancing with owner Robbie Song! The class was absolutely amazing! He made our group of zero experience girls feel super comfortable. By the end of the class we were all able to do some very basic spins and combination routine.The studio is on the very last floor so you need to follow the small signs to get to the studio. Therefore you get a warm up going up the stairs to get to the studio. But it is so worth the climb. Will definitely be coming back to some more classes in the near future.

I've been going to R.Song for two months now, after their introductory offer.I love the studio, it's sooo clean and bright. It was pretty before, and it's even better after the expansion.The instructors are all so good!I can't find anything bad to say.Really worth the price!

My daughter had back surgery for scoliosis a few years ago. She now attends Robbie’s classes and the strength she has gained is amazing ! I am very appreciative of the environment and encouragement she is given every single class :)

This studio is phenomenal! I was poling for a few years before covid hit and it shut down my studio. I was nervous to start again after a few years and oh my gosh, my anxiety melted away within five minutes! I did a pole intro course with Annecy who is incredible! The studio is stunning itself, very modern and beautiful and open, with great high ceilings. The receptionist is so sweet and the entire place is just such a welcoming, amazing place. The variety of classes is also great, there's something for everyone.

The studio is in a cool loft space downtown! (I love lofts so this place is amazing too me).Before you go they will text you the code to get in if your class is after 6pm. There is also a helpful video.I did the intro to pole class with Annecy and she was super high energy and explained things very well. It was a super fun class :)!Take advantage of the two week deal to try a much of classes.Recommend to book in advance because there are limited poles and I assume that goes for the other classes as well.

Great location, beautiful studio, and all the instructors are amazing. I love the options for different class styles! I’ve attended every pole studio in Calgary and I feel the most challenged at R.song, the classes move at a great pace and I feel like I’ve made a lot of progress after every class. I always feel very supported by Robbie and all the instructors, and it’s always really fun. Robbie is an INCREDIBLE pole dancer also!

This studio is awesome and it’s my favourite I’ve been to so far. I learned more in one class than I have in 2-3 at other studios. Annecy was seriously such a joy. Explained things so well, observed each students body language to see if they needed further explanation or for her to demonstrate again. She was never condescending, always kind and encouraging. This style of teaching can be hard to come by in a lot of studios! It was my first class in a new studio, with nobody I knew, in a strange new environment and halfway though I was laughing and totally comfortable. Even if I fell on my a$$ I wouldn’t feel judged in the slightest. Everything about this studio is awesome, I can’t wait to come back

I've been going here for about a year now and it really is a 5 star experience. The studio is gorgeous and always impeccably clean. The instructors are friendly and knowledgeable and the owner Robbie is really personable and takes a lot of pride in the space. I've always appreciated the flexibility when it comes to putting a pause on my membership temporarily and staff are always willing to work with you in order to make sure you have a great experience. A membership here isn't cheap, but you get access to a beautiful studio, lots of attention from instructors due to the small class sizes and because of that I feel like you can advance very quickly if you put your mind to it. Took a chance on a trial membership and now it's safe to say I'm hooked!
