I love Edo Japan but this review is specifically for the Shawnessy location. They give the tiniest portions and charge you $20 (before taxes). For $20 I have gotten magnificent feasts at other restaurants (example: Jerusalem Shawarma) and other Edo Japan locations like Southcentre mall.

I was disgusted, when I found out, they don't bother to clean up their hot plate or barbecue..., I thought that's a mushrooms!! Well I was wrong! It was just a black nasty dirt collected for over the past years

unfortunately sushi are not fresh made, they are from the fridge. even alaska roll os prepared beforehand and they added fish on top of it afterwards. rice is cold and solid, hard to eat. but the taste is ok. yeah and bubble tea still doesn’t have bubbles, but only sliced peaces of jelly

Wow! Sooo very disappointed!Talk about shrinkflation and mixing hot sauces without a heads up! Or maybe switching hot sauces and putting dried peppers in to trick us!There was very little meat or vegetables!The hot sauce mixture ruined my food!Bait and switch! You should update you pictures at your location!I couldn’t finish this as I’d put this nasty hot sauce on it!

This place always gets my order wrong. I ordered tempura, they didn't put in the tempura in the bag. Had to call them for another time to pickup. I ordered a bento with 1 sauce on the side, there was no sauce! Last time I said sauce on the side, then they put the sauce! Seriously? Check the orders and check again before handing the bag to the customer.

The noodles were all clumped into one and were super soft! Very unappetizing. I'm pretty sure it was made yesterday and heated up in the microwave or something. I ordered right when it opened and this is what I got. Won't ever be ordering from here again, that's for sure.

Food is really good. But the bubble tea is disgusting. Definitely go to a reputable bubble tea place if you’re wanting some. Their brown sugar tastes so gross. Milk with a hint of burnt horribleness.

I had a really good meal here! The place was clean and they were very fast to have our meals ready! I don’t like the new layout of the restaurant/store. I feel like there is not enough seating and the chairs are uncomfortable. I liked the old layout... or at least the d comfort level. I will definitely go back but maybe just take my order to go instead of sitting uncomfortably for 30-45 min.

Close to $15 for this sizzling shrimp dish, which isn't a huge deal until it's no where close to being average. Barley and I mean barley any veggies, packed with noodles, very light on sauce when I asked for extra and to top it off the shrimp was undercooked. The service was friendly, fast and the place was clean so they get the 2 stars for that but I can't see myself returning to that location again.

Generously gave them 1 star just so I could share how terrible of an experience I have just had. We ordered dynamite rolls on Skip and, while the food was received quickly, it was beyond awful. The shrimp was 104 degrees colder, 61.8 degrees Fahrenheit (aka, not fresh, straight from the fridge) then it should be, along with crusty rice. Called Edo, spoke to a supervisor and they couldn't be bothered to either own or deal with the issue. Aside from this issue, the rest of our order was disappointing, to say the least. I strongly advise against ordering from this location due to the unacceptable quality of food and lack of customer service. Pic 1 shows the difference between 2 beef yakisoba dishes( one shows proper sauce, the other is like soup)
