I have recently experienced unprofessional behavior from the Pearl Dental Group on Finch Ave that I would like to share in detail.At my first appointment, I had my teeth checked and was informed that there was no immediate need for fillings. Last week, my husband had a dental filling appointment, so we called to see if we could move my cleaning appointment to the same day. They confirmed that my appointment has been successfully changed. When we arrived, my husband went for his filling, and I waited for my cleaning appointment. After a while, one of the staff members asked me to follow her to another room and offered me a seat. The doctor walked in and said that he wanted to fill one of my teeth! I was shocked and said that I had only scheduled a cleaning appointment for today, and the receptionist had not mentioned anything about a filling. Also, I reminded him that he had told me the week before that I did not require any fillings. The doctor said, “I noticed you were waiting, I thought we could fill one of your teeth in the meantime!”I politely thanked him but said that I was not interested in doing so. After leaving the room, the doctor had a conversation with the receptionist, and then she mentioned that the doctor said we couldn’t reschedule your cleaning appointment! This was surprising since I had received a confirmation call just an hour before my appointment. I wondered if the decision not to reschedule was related to my decision not to get the filling!After reading other reviews, I found out that some clients had the same experience as me!
