My husband and I (complete newbies to kayaking) enjoyed a 4 hour tour with Kim. Gorgeous day, a very chill leader and nice little group of other adventurers gave us time to catch on" and get into a little bit of a "groove" to enjoy the experience including a lovely lunch on the beach with all kinds of homemade salads

We had a wonderful trip! We did the 4 day Clayoquot Sound tour and it was so much fun! We had 10 guests in the group (3 separate groups) in total, plus 2 guides. Scenery was amazing - crystal clear calm waters and beautiful sandy picturesque beaches. Good mix of activity (kayaking) and chill time. Food was incredible and ample! We brought snacks, but didn’t need them. Great kayaking equipment with a good amount of storage. Communication was fast and responsive. Highly recommended! I learned a lot about kayaking too!

We had a great experiance with our guides Jamie and Paula who showed us aroud the Broken group Islands. Highly recommend WildHeart for this tour.

One of the best adventures of my life so far. Fabulous food, beautiful sandy beaches, knowledgeable guides, fresh air, the perfect balance of paddling and free time. Everything was absolutely perfect. It really was a dream. I'd recommend this adventure for anyone.

Amazing experience paddling around the Johnston Straight. The highlight would be the orcas swimming right underneath our kayaks. Kim and Alyce were such knowledgeable guides and made sure we had the best experience. And the food was always very tasty!! Thank you for a kayak trip I don't think I could ever forget!

WildHeart was amazing. The experience, kindness, sights, and food was second to none. Kim and Alys were our guides for this three day tour of Johnstone Strait with a day paddle to Robson Bight. The food Kim made on a two burner camp stove was better than what I eat at home. (Not exaggerating) I don’t want to ruin a surprise but french toast, chicken fajitas, and homemade desserts at a campsite will not be forgotten. We were fortunate enough to see marten, seals, eagles, porpoises, dolphins, humpbacks (in the distance) and orcas (up close and personal). Our group of 10, and two guides, gelled nicely. Kim even put up two large tarps so we could get out of the rain, started a fire so we could dry out and warm up, and boiled water so we could have coffee or hot chocolate. He did all that while preparing a meal for all of us and with a smile and sense of humour. I have already bragged and recommended Wildheart to my friends and hope to do it again soon. Highly recommend this for all levels of experience kayakers. I have only lake kayaked before and only four times. If you don’t try this, it would truly be your loss.

Amazing three days with Jaime and Paula! Everything was so thoughtfully prepared and carried out, super flexible and accommodating. Great equipment, amazing food cooked by our guides, the rain on the first afternoon and evening could not ruin the great camp site atmosphere, the next days included humpbacks, sea lions, dolphins, porpoises, sea eagles, sea stars, orchids, Californian cucumber and seaweed …. most interesting insights on kayaking and nature preservation from globetrotter Jaime and from Patagonian Paula.Whoever wants to have the real see kayaking experience in Vancouver Island, WildHeart Adventure is a “must have”!

What a wonderful experience! Kim is a patient, experienced kayaker who made us feel safe paddling around the islands.The pace was good, even though we are not experienced - fast enough to keep us engaged but slow enough that we could keep up without killing ourselves, LOL.Kim knows all about the wildlife and rock formations, and history of the islands, and was happy to share in a very friendly, relaxed way.Lunch was wholesome, home-made by a wonderful cook, delicious, and filling. The weather was perfect, so it was nice to take a lunch break and soak up some sun before heading back to the launch.I've kayaked a few times before, and was really looking forward to my husband having an excellent first experience. This tour, the weather, and our guide, Kim, were the magic ingredients we needed!

WOWThe best experience of my life. My two girlfriends and I booked a kayaking day trip with Kim. Upon the drive there it was raining cats&dOgs, Kim made sure to call us an hour before our booking to insure we were comfortable kayaking in such weather conditions. Gave us thorough instructions prior to beginning the kayaking trip in a very uplifting way. Instantly upon meeting Kim we were pumped to get in the water! Kim is so enthusiastic about kayaking and is so knowledgeable about the different animals and plans shown on the tour. He was incredible company during kayaking and as well as our homemade lunch prepared by him. We stopped at a small beach where Kim set up a beautiful picnic on a rock while we explored the island. The food was absolutely incredible. Homemade hummus and quinoa salad was to die for, as well as the hot tea! Truly one of the best lunches we ever had. Overall, this is a must trip to do when you’re in Nanaimo. Thank you Kim!StephMazalKristen
