Wok's Taste Chinese Restaurant 和味
One of my favorite restaurants. Have been going for the better part of a decade now and I have yet to be disappointed. This isn't a luxury joint, but it doesn't pretend to be. It has good food, kind staff, and respectable prices.

I believe this is one of the best Chinese restaurant in Guelph. Even I live in Waterloo which has lots of Chinese restaurants, still think this one is really good. I have been there several times since last year and the taste always good. The waitress and chef are very polite. The only thing I dont like maybe the owner open the door a little bit later than it suppose to be. On the google and timetable on front door all says it open on 11am. But yesterday I been there at 11:10, it still not open. I waited until 11:30 then I gotta come in. So maybe next time not go there too early in the morning.

Authentic Chinese restaurant with a large menu. Dishes are tasty, deep fried food, a light oil taste not the usual old oil taste in many restaurants. Portions are a good size and prices at an average budget. We ordered the deep fried pork with chilies, sizzling satay, three types of seafood with vegetables, and garlic gylan. Excellent pork dish, satay was very light in taste, but meat was so tender. Lots of shrimp, squid, and fish in the seafood, not at all sparingly like other restaurants. The squid in the dish was not rubbery at all, and the sauce was fantastic. There was a shortage of gylan. However, we willingly accepted a substitute when advised in advance, so there was no issue. $72 for a large dinner for three with lots of leftovers. No hesistation to place my stamp of approval, and we will be back, especially as they do have a small selection of dim sum available, too. Very enjoyable, thank you. A Thursday night and parking was difficult due to being across from the public skating rink, so be prepared to have to hunt for a spot. Restaraunt priority is the food, so keep a thought that the lack of ambiance and decor is made up for by the food taste and quality.

We ordered takeaway from Wok's Taste in late December 2019.The restaurant was incredibly accommodating of our gluten free and vegan needs and made ordering super easy.We called in a large order for 8 people (for delivery) and they were able to get it all together in about 40 min - probably more like 35 min.Not only did the restaurant provide suggestions and helpful info when we called, they were all too happy to offer to veganize many popular dishes, and we did not have to explain that we needed the dishes to be animal free, oyster sauce free and egg free.The cost was reasonable, and the friend that picked up the food for us exclaimed how clean and pleasant the restaurant was on arrival to pick up the order (which was waiting for pick up, and which was still hot, on arrival at our home). (Dinner for 8 was in the $70. range before tax. Yes! Less than $10. per person!)The pleasant nature of the order taker, the willingness to accommodate our vegan order and the speed with which our order was assembled guarantees that we'll order from Wok's Taste again, in the near future.Please note, the fortune cookies at Wok's Taste are not vegan - there are other Chinese food restaurants in Guelph that do offer vegan fortune cookies, but this is of no consequence as our experience with Wok's Taste has been great.We definitely recommend this place for great takeaway!

I ordered food from here for the first time. The noodles and spring rolls were delicious. The chicken was a little dry but it was flavourful. All together, not bad, I would recommend.

Pricey, but tremendous portions and quick service are big advantages.My roommate and I have ordered from Wok’s Taste twice so far and on both occasions we’ve been provided with delicious Chinese food that has lasted for multiple days after the fact. It seems that most Chinese food restaurants are somewhat expensive, with many orders exceeding $70 for a decent spread of 4-5 dishes, but the amount of food that you get out of it is certainly worth it.This is the perfect place to order from if you’re near downtown Guelph on a Friday night or if you’re having people over, I know I’ll definitely be back.

Wok's Taste Chinese Restaurant 和味
Fried noodles were uncooked!! Not all of them (some were burnt!) But a huge portion of my meal! I have never experienced that at a restaurant before. And we had to throw out the spring rolls because of the bad taste.My family enjoyed the pork and the chicken.
