Freedom From Addiction

Freedom From Addiction has been the best experience for my healing and recovery from addiction. The home environment, trainer in the gym, and amazing Chefs made it an absolute pleasure everyday. The counsellors and staff are outstanding with their insights, passion, and care for me as a client which helped me to look at the things that keep taking me back to active addiction. I will be forever grateful. I wish all the clients, and future clients the best on their journey.

My stay was nothing but superb. Great staff,very accommodating, professional and counselling was nothing but superb. What was taught here I would have never learned anywhere else! The food was delicious! The fitness instructor is very helpful and friendly. Overall the staff is fabulous! The nursing staff was on top of their game! To say Freedom staff were just caring is an understatement. My overall experience was life changing. God Bless the staff especially, Jay.

Freedom is accredited with Accreditation Canada and has a lot of programs for anyone who is affected by addiction. They truly help clients transform their lives and be on the road to recovery.

My experience at freedom was life changing, the staff are knowledgeable and caring. Great place to go to begin you're road to recovery and become reintroduced to your true self.The programming is thoughtfully structured with programming and leisure time.Truly grateful for my time at freedom!

For anyone seeking treatment for yourself or a loved one…PLEASE look elsewhere. This isn’t a place of help. Amazing treatment centres exist all over Ontario; this isn’t anywhere near that. They care about their profit more than they do the lives coming into their doors. Do yourself a favour and avoid this facility.

Hello my name is Lindsay, I went to freedom from addiction starting in May of 2020 and leaving on June 20th. They help me find the reason why I was trying to find Oblivion. And we started to wrestle those demons. I have continued my work and use my workbooks all the time when I feel the need to remind myself of how strong I can be. That means I use the books quite frequently and I've been adding to my notes in the Big Blue book as I go through meetings here in Akron and Cleveland.I want to tell you that this place can save your life. If you have doubts leave those behind they will take you hold you tight and give you the confidence and faith that you need because they have a lot to share.Like all addiction centers they're not there to do the work for you they're giving you the tools and the skills that you need to live a sober life and work to overcome those obstacles that haunt us and those obstacles we have on our voyage through Life.Thank you everybody for your help, you help me immensely and I'm constantly using the skills you taught me. Freedom saved my life. Coming here I was scared and miserable. Once I spent a couple nights here, I was happy and already making friends. It helped me have structure again in my life. It's amazing what a bit of stability can do for you. I'm proud of myself for getting here and putting in the work. From the four hours of 1 on 1 counselling each week to learning about emotional recovery, I love it all. I was truly able to work on myself and allow everything I've been numbing to turn into facing the reality of my problems. I used to blame everyone for all of my issues and now I'm thanking everyone for helping me get through them. I'm not exaggerating when I say freedom saved my life, I'm blessed I had the opportunity to stay here. I highly recommend this treatment program to anyone that is struggling. The people that work here are the most supporting and helpful people I've had the pleasure to work with.

The very first thing I want clarify about this place, this place is an addiction treatment centre, but it is NOT about your addiction, it's about YOU. I came here looking for answers on how to handle and cope with my addiction, and I left with answers to deep rooted emotional problems I didn't expect. The passion radiates from every single employee working there. The wisdom speaks through every counsellor. The commitment from the nurses to the care of the clients is second to none. During my stay there was a couple incidents with other clients and the staff handled them with far more professionalism than I've seen at any establishment before in my life. I can honestly not say anything negative about this place. The amount of care, compassion, empathy, understanding, wisdom, professionalism I received while being there was beyond my expectations. They surpassed any expectations I had for myself going here. Thank you to all the employees and all my fellow clients for making this an absolutely amazing and unforgettable experience. I will never forget my stay at this place. If you're looking for genuine help with not only your addictions, but also deep rooted emotional issues, I PROMISE you you won't regret choosing FREEDOM!

Freedom not only saved me from my addiction, they helped me get my life back and I learned to love myself again. My counselors were absolutely amazing and helped me to deal with past traumas I had been avoiding for years. All of the staff members are great and were always there for me when I needed someone to talk to. After completing 2 months at Freedom I am walking out a new person, confident in my sobriety.

Coming to Freedom wasn't my choice and I did not want to be there but only after a few hours of being in the program i saw that this place had something that i was missing. I've been to other treatment centers and i have to say this was by far the best one. They don't just treat the Addiction they also treat the root issues causing the addiction that I did not think had any relation to my substance abuse. I would 100% recommend this program to anyone who is looking for a place to get treatment for addiction. The staff is all so amazing and very welcoming and that made me feel like i was apart of something special right from day one. I got 4 counselling sessions a week which have helped me more than i had ever imagined. If your struggling with an addiction and need help take it from someone who was hopeless and thought there was no way out and without coming to Freedom i don't think i would of found one.
