The bread was dry, almost like a day or two old sourdough. The mozzarella and squash was the best dish we had. The mains were decent but nothing unique. Overall just a pretty average restaurant. Nothing really special and for the price, I’d go somewhere else.

Delicious food with lots of layer of flavour, The duck dish and the sunchoke trout with the little salad on top !!! absolutely amazing!!Loved the spicy shrimp appetizer too!

Had a incredible experience here tonight. The duck confit is outstanding- I don't have words to describe how great it was. Service was also very friendly and caring. Made for an amazing date night after a good show at the festival. We'll definitely be back- and next time we're both ordering the duck.

A delightful bistro in downtown Stratford. Excellent server, an imaginative menu, and lovely background music. Made a welcome change from the typical North American fare of burgers, wings, fries, big screen TVs, and loud music.

If I was the host of “You Gotta Eat Here” this restaurant would have a whole episode devoted to it. Absolute standout! Friendly greeting & a smile at reception - gave us a window table as it was our anniversary. Complimentary Prosecco. Server was excellent, aware of our special anniversary event, engaged & very friendly. Explained a couple of items on the menu including a new dish that the Chef was preparing for the first time that evening and which I ordered. The Chef came over after I tasted the dish to get my opinion. Needless to say, the food, service & atmosphere were all excellent - 5 STARS for sure. We’ll definitely go back.

Exceptional and unique menu from Chef Stew Taylor. He varies it regularly. So, you can keep going back and enjoying new tastes. Beet salad was delightful and flavourful. Shrimp rolls were subtle and tasty. Our server recommended a squeeze of lime with them and that really brought out the flavour. Pork dumplings were outstanding. Unique and not too heavy; the Stilton sauce made the dish even better. Server Jasmine Rose was lovely and attentive, knew the menu and was able to help us choose. Everything we tried was fantastic. And we are full, but not too full. The blueberry lemon tart for dessert was superb; a delicate mix of flavours in a light crisp tart. We will be back! Thanks Chef and thank you Jasmine!

Had an incredible time at Bijou this past weekend! My mother and I enjoyed the entire experience, from the time we were greeted at the front by the owner Mark and taken to the coziest table in the restaurant to the final sip of our wine!It was truly a journey through all our senses with each dish that was brought to the table. The visual, the smell and of course the taste were all marvelous. We were referring to the head chef Stewart Taylor as a Wizard each time we indulged in the dishes. Our server Mindy was outstanding as well as all the Staff. They treated us like royalty!I cannot speak highly enough about this restaurant! I would give 10 stars if it allowed!Bijou is a MUST when visiting the charming town of Stratford!

Absolutely stunning food!! Was walking by and decided to try this place because we liked the vibe. The food was amazing! I had the steelhead trout and hubby had the short rib. They were both to die for! The dessert was not at the same level unfortunately.Highly Recommend!
