If you want to shop, this store has a huge collection but if you want to sell clothes, do yourself a favor, drive to another location. Don't waste your time here. This location was so picky and cheap. Last time, waited more than 20 mins, they took 2 shirts and gave me $4.25. Ridiculous!

My daughter and I enjoy the store itself, but the staff are incredibly rude and inconsiderate. At this point it seems like it's a part of the job description.Update: Thank you for your response. We believe in second chances and will be revisiting your store. ☺️

I have tried twice now to sell my clothes to Plato’s and they won’t even look at it and “stop” taking stuff hours before they close. This is ridiculous and annoying. I have been selling clothes here for years and never had this problem until twice in one week I went two hours before close and they denied me to attempt to sell. The girl told me the first time they stop taking clothes an hour before they close to be able to process everything in the system which is understandable but today they stopped at 5 pm when they close at 9pm, which is ridiculous. You guys are losing so many customers because of this sell back system, it sucks. Stop wasting people’s time.

I recently sold to them for the first time, my bag had newer, trendy name brands. They took 2 items out of 10 and gave me $5. I understand their pricing strategy, but their justification for why they refused the rest of the clothing was vague, and overall disrespectful. It just doesn't seem new enough"

Twice i called ahead of time and told them what I was bringing and when I hauled a bin full of clothes shoes and purses, they said no to it all. Items with tags still on them. They weren't teens so they took nothing. Total waste of my time!! One purse they said they would take , had a 80.00 tag still on it, never used, they offered me 2.15 . Horrible place, rude people! You are better to sell your goods on market place!!

I’ve come to this store twice and each time i’ve had a horrible experience. The staff will speak poorly of the clothes and make fun of things people bring in, and not in a quiet manner either. I personally did not feel comfortable shopping or donating clothes as i’m going to be judged for what I bring or choose to buy. Further more, the staff was speaking poorly about another staff member behind their back and as a customer it really made me uncomfortable to hear. Lastly the selection is not the greatest, it can be rather expensive and they accept clothes with loose threads, stains and wear and tear yet will make you feel horrible about the clothes you return. IF you are looking for a plato’s closet the one in hamilton is worth the drive and the employees are so sweet.

I have tried a couple times to bring clothing to them. Each time I am told either that they’re out of style meanwhile they were just purchased a month ago, or that they don’t take “kid sizes” meanwhile they’re a woman’s small? I think they’re too picky there and need to learn how to communicate with people without putting people down about there size.

Literally bought a pair of gymshark leggings from them a few weeks ago (almost brand new looking). Finally had time to try on, unfortunately they did not fit and I didn't have the receipt. Went to resell it back to them just to be told it's not in style?! I just bought it from you two weeks ago. I continue to see brands like George, shein and a lot of low quality, fast fashion items but don't take high quality clothing. This store makes absolutely no sense in what items they take.
