Sawmill Creek Pool and Community Centre

It is pandemic times, but that doesn't mean you have to miss out on some great swimming! I booked myself and my little one in for a one hour public swim. The booking process was very easy, with a confirmation email that served as my reminder with all the info I needed. We arrived about two or three minutes prior to our booking time of 9:45 am. Check in was easy and fast. We simply walked into the pool area having already put our suits on at home, and placed our belongings on a free spot on the pool deck (indicated with check marks). The number of people allowed in the pool was perfect for social distancing and there was a nice balance between families with kids and lane swimmers. Everyone respected each other's space. I loved having a one hour time limit. My 4 YO, if given a choice, would stay for five hours. We masked in the change room after the swim, and again there was plenty of room. The staff were so friendly and helpful. It was a great experience and we will definitely try to go back. You have to book a few days in advance and keep checking for availability. Happy swimming!

Very family oriented. Lovely atmosphere. Willing and helpful staff, always with a smile. My son loves their pool so much. Pls note pool will be closed from June 12 to July 2nd for maintenance.

Perfect team and pool very clean!

Nice big pool. Clean showers, only 8. Lockers need a lock. There are 2 powerful hand dryers set up so you sit under to dry hair. There are bleachers in pool area that you can bring I'd and personal stuff. Friendly staff. Signed up for monthly pass, passes are activity specific, unlimited usage at all City of Ottawa pools. I signed up for aquafit, first day and I can feel it.

The pool used to be really cold but now the water temperature is fine. The building is very small and a bit dated but it serves its purpose well. The staff are all very nice and very competent.

The thing I did not like was that there were adults and kids in the dressing rooms together.Also in the pool.

A little dated in some aspects, but a quality 25m public pool in the south end of Ottawa.

Nice place to swim, but there is no sauna or steaming room.
