I have tried so hard to like this place. It is a local landmark, but after 5 tries, I give up. The breakfast is horrible. Bacon so overcooked it crumbles (and not in the good way), absolutely zero seasoning on the eggs, a hash brown that seemed “fluffy” it was so over saturated with grease (and again completely unseasoned).Their only saving grace was that the coffee was ok.Grilled cheese is two slices of wonder bread and a processed cheese slice (ok for your kids to make for themselves at home - but nothing you should be charging the price they do). Milkshake was …. Indescribable (again, not in a good way).I seriously tried to like it here, even if for just the nostalgia. I just can’t. This place is just a mess.I think the 4 & 5 star reviews are from folks who remember the place in its hey-days, and still see it through that lens.My advice? Take your money elsewhere.

This place feels just like home, the breakfasts are my absolute fav, the staff is so kind and sweet and I love the atmosphere its so welcoming and inviting, I love the Superior and I highly reccomend it

Service was not great, we sat at a table for a long time before we were even asked if we wanted coffee. It was frustrating, because others who entered well after us were being served.The breakfast was ok, nothing exciting here very basic.We found it very expensive for the 3 of us to eat breakfast. We were also very surprised the coffee was extra.

Classic diner feel, but a great menu, and the food was an absolute killer. Amazing. And the portions are phenomenal. Decent prices too. Friendly staff in a charming location.

I’m giving this place 5 stars, not because it is the classiest, most high end place, but because it deserves five stars for being exactly what it is. An old mom and pop diner that looks like it probably did the day it opened.I’ve been going to this place since I was a little girl, to enjoy the fries & gravy or maybe a pizza take out.We went here for lunch today and I ordered fries with gravy & a grilled cheese with bacon. The grilled cheese probably could have used another slice of cheese. But it was all delicious.The restaurant was a little cooler, bring a sweater (it’s spring as of this review and no one knows whether to turn heat off or on!)My daughter was given a cute ice cream in the most adorable ice cream cup. The pop comes in a can. It was very affordable for the three of us to eat for lunch. Service was very friendly, but it was oh-so-quiet here, probably due to the construction.I will continue visiting the Supe every time I visit Almonte just for some nostalgic fries & gravy. Would love to try their pizza again too, maybe enjoy a milkshake next time as well.

We had lasagna and it was very good. The service was good and friendly. The amount of food was excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant as it is superior!!

Really not sure what to say. This restaurant isn't the same one I remember. I've been in there recently and it's off putting. Decided not to eat. The diner decor look is the same as it was years ago when I used to go all the time. It's cluttered though. Areas are unused and cluttered.Not sure about the reviews on here. Wondering if it's the locals reminiscing of the glory days are leaving reviews not realizing it's not the same Superior they know and love.Take my review with a grain of salt though. I didn't eat during my visit.

Delicious food. We had a pouting and a BLT. Great portions, super fast and friendly service. Love the little toy station for the kiddos.The construction was an exciting addition for my 3 year old to enjoy.We'll be back and will highly recommend.

Still lots of Christmas vibes.Burger platter looked great with plenty of food. Lunch special was cheap, quick and delicious.
