My first experience here. I was very well handled. My repair was well done at a very reasonable cost. No hesitation returning to them or recommending them to others.

Best prices I've found in Halifax. Respectful and courteous staff. Not open on weekends, and typically busy, so call a week in advance.

In short, this place has no skills and no conscience. The engine oil leaked and fell to the floor and was checked to find the cause. They tightened the drain plug, saying it was loose, and replenished the oil. But even after the repair, the engine oil kept leaking and wetting the floor. On my second visit they determined the cause was the engine oil filter. It is understood that engine oil must also be replaced inevitably while replacing the engine oil filter. The cost was paid. They apologized for not properly finding the cause during the first inspection, but did not return the cost. In conclusion, they purposely let customers visit twice and pay the most. Terrible.

The younger mechanic is polite and looks like he does his job sincerely. Good place for an oil change.

I came here for inspection on my truck and trailer.Service was exceptional - professional, friendly, no concerns. I booked first thing in the morning - little bit of traffic, not great cause of the trailer, but we managed. They take credit card as well. Service was quick, done on time (as per our appointment) - they actually started a few minutes ahead of schedule, which was a nice bonus.I also noticed their service towards other customers was great; one in particular (a regular), as you'd expect, they knew the vehicle and custom well.I'd take my business back to them.

After travelling from Cape Breton to Halifax a brake issue was discovered on my car. MacLeod’s Auto Service quickly diagnosed and repaired the problem. Professional and friendly service. Thanks to them I was able to get back to Cape Breton safely. I highly recommend this service.

Went here for a pre MVI inspection. They chatged me 50 bucks but the person inspecting my car didnt check anything properly. He hardly spent 10 mins looking around and underneath the car and told me it was in a good condition. However when I insisted him to check under the hood, he said that my engine oil level was low. They could have done better.

I've had several very positive experiences with MacLeod's, and have found them to be consistently honest and straight forward.

This review is not about one visit to McLeod's. It's about decades of visits. They are a professional, friendly, and reasonably priced shop. I have taken all of my vehicles to them since the 1980's and I highly recommend them to anyone who's looking for auto service.
